eM4 Miniatures are designers, manufacturers and distributors of miniatures, dice and other game accessories.

It started back just shortly after the millennium bug was meant to have destroyed the world, realising he had survived. Doug decided to found eM4 in the year 2000.

Doug and his partner Clive have over 80 years experience in the gaming industry and their products include the famous pre-painted miniatures. Fast paced skirmish games like Combat Zone and Ludus Gladiatorius and even custom made dice and game parts.

In 2020, former employee and close friend Charlie has taken on the reigns on eM4. Still working closely with Doug and Clive, Charlie and his team are making sure eM4 continues to serve the gaming community.

Essex Miniatures Ltd have been established for over 25 years and since then we have been proud to provide a prompt and efficient world wide service to all of our customers. We design and manufacture each of our 15mm and 25mm miniatures onsite at our factory store in Essex to a very high standard as well as stocking the latest and greatest games & rulesets and gaming accessories.

Our Miniatures
Please note that some miniatures come with integral metal bases, while some come with tabs and are supplied with plastic bases. You should also be aware that miniatures are not toys, they are supplied unpainted and some models require assembly. Models are best prepared with care (and supervision) with a craft knife and needle file before undercoating and painting with model acrylic paints and varnishing to protect models during games. Midlam Miniatures are available through this site, through a secure shopping system that uses PayPal. You do not have to have a PayPal account to use it.

Suggestions
If you have any suggestion/requests for new miniatures then please get in touch via the Contact Us page and we'll let you know if or when it would fit into our release schedule. Bear in mind that even the smallest miniature involves a large investment of time and money.

Scale
As far as scale goes, all the new miniatures fit comfortably with a non-heroic 28mm scale. Most of the older models (the old Metal Magic range) are slightly on the short side, but fit comfortably within normal human variance and don't look wildly out of place. Eventually all models will have their height included in the description for you to make your own mind up about them.
