First Legion is truly a company of collectors for collectors. Prior to First Legion we were collectors of figures from various companies, but none of them seemed to fully be able to meet our collecting desires. We wanted superb quality, historical accuracy, and tremendous range depth to create the most intricate and accurate dioramas and wargames possible. The problem was that this simply did not exist, even across many different figure makers. It was because of this lack of suitable products that we decided we would go ahead and create our own company to make products how we feel they should be made. As such, we have a real passion for our figure ranges and take a great level of pride in everything we produce. We formed the company in 2007 and released our first products in 2008. Since that time we have released hundreds of figure sets, expanded into several new figure ranges, and have rapidly built a brand that has become synonymous with quality, detail, and historical accuracy. Simply put, our figures are widely regarded as the finest in the world and the best value in the price/quality matrix with a depth of figure ranges that is unparalleled. The philosophy of our company is to produce products of the highest quality at prices affordable to the average consumer. We aim to make products that we ourselves want to collect and we are and will remain our own greatest critics. We will continue to innovate and push the boundaries of the hobby forward, blurring the lines between traditional toy soldier collecting and master level diorama building. The concept behind all of our product ranges is simple: to emulate the quality of sculpting and painting found on the most discerning collector's figures coming out of Russia and offer them at a tiny fraction of the price. We hope that there are many out there like ourselves who crave figures with world class sculpting and true connoisseur painting and who want access to complete figure ranges but who simply can't bear to pay up to $150 for a foot figure or $500 for a single cavalry figure. Until First Legion came into being, this simply didn't exist. Now it does.

Our MiniaturesOur figures, sculpted in a variety of media. Moulded and cast in pewter or resin, and packaged in attractive blister packs and boxes. We describe our miniatures as 28mm, meaning that an average-sized human would stand at around 28mm tall. However, not many of our figures average-sized humans! For monsters, we use a scale of 5mm on the model to represent 1 foot of height. So a 10 foot tall Ogre would represented by a 50mm tall miniature. Most figures modelled with ‘slotta-tabs’ and supplied with appropriate plastic bases.
