Battlefront Miniatures is a New Zealand-based company that created the Flames of War the WWII miniature game and Team Yankee range of Cold War miniatures and terrain.

Flames Of War

The Flames Of War WWII range includes tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, artillery and anti-tank guns, infantry and support weapons for eight nations: Germany, the USSR, The United States of America, Great Britain, Italy, France, Hungary, Finland, Romania and Poland. The range currently consists of hundreds of vehicle, infantry and gun packs and is constantly expanding. It will include other nationalities in the future.Flames Of War is our WWII miniature game. You command a company level force in Europe or North Africa, re-creating actual battles, or fighting missions verses other Flames of War armies. Team Yankee

Team Yankee is a book written by Harold Coyle in 1987 about a fictitious Soviet attack into Germany from the viewpoint of Captain Bannon commanding Team Yankee, an Armour-heavy Combat Team in the US Army. It’s also a stand-alone game being released by Battlefront.

Fate Of A Nation

The Great War

Great War, like ‘Nam and Fate Of A Nation, comes with a full set of rules based of Flames Of War. This means that the Great War book contains all the rules and force list you need to play.

Just add your Great War models, terrain, some dice, and a tape measure and you are ready to go.

Like Flames Of War, Great War Units and Formations have their own cards for quick reference. These are available in four card packs, German, British, American and French (which includes the Belgians).

The Great War range includes tanks, aircraft and other armoured fighting vehicles, artillery and infantry. The range will be expanding to include a wide variety of nations that you can refight the World War I on your tabletop.

Our vehicles are unique in that they are made of two mediums. The hulls are cast in polyester resin, which gives a sharp attention to detail, while more delicate components are cast in white metal to provide robustness. This allows you to easily and quickly construct your army in readiness for many future battles. Models assemble using Superglue or a two-part Epoxy Resin glue. They paint up well with any easily available model paint range.

Essex Miniatures Ltd have been established for over 25 years and since then we have been proud to provide a prompt and efficient world wide service to all of our customers. We design and manufacture each of our 15mm and 25mm miniatures onsite at our factory store in Essex to a very high standard as well as stocking the latest and greatest games & rulesets and gaming accessories. 

Gaming Models original sculptings are 15mm scale. These miniatures are made with the gamer in mind and are not intended to be fine scale models. Vehicles come fully assembled and painted, and are ready to game with out of the box. Vehicles are made from multiple castings (hulls, turrets, tracks and wheels).

All turrets are pinned and rotate. Vehicles are painted with a basic coat with a wash. They can be unpainted at the buyers request, the price is the same as painted. All vehicles are $5.00. Specialty items such as bunkers, landing craft, the glider and train are priced separately. Also, if you have a wish list of vehicles, let me know and I will try to work them in.

We have been gamers for over 40 years. It all started with military board games. It wasn't long before we were introduced to miniatures. A lot of the vehicles we wanted we couldn't find, so we started to produce them ourselves. We do all of the sculpting from drawings and available photographs.

They are created using modelers foam and styrene plastic. They are all hand detailed and hand riveted. We also do our own mold making, casting and painting. We have a comprehensive line of 15mm WWII German, Russian, British, Italian, American, French and Japanese vehicles. German bunkers should be available in the near future.

Our goal is to provide miniatures for gamers, schools and clubs that need to field large armies at a low cost.
