Welcome to Armaments In Miniature LLC. We specializes in offering highly detailed 15mm, 12mm, 9mm and 6mm, scale resin models kits.
We retail our products via Internet sales and gaming conventions run by the "Historical Miniatures Gaming Society-East".
Items in which we specialize are aircraft, helicopter, rocket and balloon models in various scales along with decal‘ marking sets (from I-
9l-i Enterprises and The Goblin Works), flight stands, and game mats.
We offer landing craft (some masters were provided by 19th Century Miniatures), river craft, and small boats (soon to be released). We
also offer a line of railroad track and armored cars on rail wheels, self propelled "draysines," and soon to be released armored trains and
general freight cars.
We have an extensive line of German Atlantic Wall bunkers (many designs of which were used by the Germans in other defensive lines)
and soon to be released Japanese bunkers. We offer miscellaneous items such as the Pegasus Bridge, barbed wire sections, collapsed
parachute markers, and airborne supply canisters/bundles.

Heroes Models was born to give voice to our passion for modelling. We are trying to fill the gaps left by manufacturers in sectors and scales still untreated. We are mainly interested in the aviation world, but with a special focus on the environment and the characters.
Specialized in scale 1/144 and 1/72 with some raids in the eggplane world, we do not follow a “production” logic or try to beat the competitors. The products are made by modellers for other modellers and we are the first to use them. So we try to get the best possible result while keeping the prices affordable. That’s why we do not rely on distributors.
We are a small reality and this is not our main job, although we would like it to become in the future.
Mission
To increase the quality of our products, we look after all the aspects and deepen our technical and historical research as thoroughly as possible. We are in constant contact with other modelers in order to receive suggestions and feedback.
In particular, for the realization of masters and the production of resin parts, we work together with Stefano De Rensis, a well-known Italian model maker active in this field for years, passionate him too of 1/144 as well as a valued sculptor.

Shelf Oddity are a group of modellers. We like to do things our way, and the (often) exotic scope of our interests results in the market's inability to meet our expectations. We decided to go ahead with our own ideas as skill and available technology permit. At some point a thought came to our minds "Hey, maybe there are more freaks out there?" – at this point comes Shelf Oddity, stage right.
Our detail and decal sets are usually created to fit models we build (read: have started and found out that there are deficiencies/inaccuracies/simplifications/room for improvement/details missing etc.). This helps to put some genuine effort into it. On the other hand - there may and will be some idiosyncrasies, exactly for the same reason.
If you expect easy-to-build, shake-and-bake product... well, good for you. This is not and will not be Tamiya-like easy listening lounge music. You'd rather expect some prog heavy metal.
First scope of our focus is aviation in 1/144 scale, although our 1/72 roots may come through from time to time. The emphasis is on external details comes from our observations – nobody really cares how much effort you put into creating detail that is invisible to regular viewer. But don't expect we will strictly follow any set of rules. We do what we find interesting.
Ships in 1/700 and 1/350 scales are the second area of our interest. You can expect the unexpected here.
Feel free to propose new subjects. If they suit us, we will follow. Just remember this is purely subjective, so don't be offended if we decline.

Note concerning production batches and delivery time:
We start slow, with limited series. This means "out of stock" can happen, and you may need to wait for next production batch. Don't be afraid though - a product is not likely to be discontinued if there is demand for it.
Most of available items are piling beneath our desk, waiting to be packed and sent. It usually takes 1-3 work days to move our bottom to post office. It may take longer if the order is complex and one of us is currently visiting Mojave or Kure. If in doubt - contact us; ok we will not be able to deliver for next week, but hey, maybe next two weeks?. We only ask for your patience. This is our secondary business, for the time being at least. Victrix Limited is owned by Julian Blakeney-Edwards. I (Julian) have been fascinated by toy soldiers since the age of 7. I have fond and vivid memories of playing with Airfix plastic soldiers throughout my childhood. This passion extended into the real world and at the age of 22 I entered Sandhurst. Subsequently commissioned into 3 Royal Anglian (Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex) Regiment. A fascinating 6 year career with my regiment took me to Germany, Canada and Northern Ireland.
I spent many years working in The City before setting up various businesses working in the hobby markets. And also the overseas holiday property business. For nearly 9 years now I have been running Victrix Limited with my business partner Stephen Hales. Steve has recently resigned as a director of the business but continues to work for Victrix on a consultancy basis
Steve and I had been discussing for some time the feasibility of a 28mm hard plastic range. Our first discussions centred around Greeks and Persians. But then we both quickly realised that our true joint interest was in the Napoleonic period. Before you could say "at ready" we had decided to pour our heart and soul (not to mention a very large amount of money) into the launch of a new range of hard plastic 28mm Napoleonics, and so Victrix Limited was born.
We have put great emphasis on producing figures with real character, truly reflecting the look and feel of the Napoleonic period. A great deal of attention has been placed on the sculpting of faces. The look of the uniform and the pose of each figure. As the Duke of Wellington said on the eve of Waterloo;
"I don't know what effect these men will have upon the enemy, but, by God, they frighten me".
We want our figures to look like soldiers and to scare the living daylights out of their metal opponents. We want to appeal to military modellers who will appreciate the detail of our figures. And want to use them as performers in their dioramas and vignettes. More than anything we want to recreate the pleasure and excitement of collecting miniature figures and perhaps convince the younger generation there is more to this pastime than Elves and Dwarves.
In recent years Victrix has moved away from traditional engineering methods and now all our plastic products are developed using digital technology. This involves digitally sculpting figures using various software platforms. Once the digital files are complete they go through a number of processes. Before getting uploaded to a CNC milling that then cuts the tool.
The adoption of digital technology has helped reduce development costs which has allowed us to invest more money in new product development. What the future holds is anyone's guess but developing STL files for people to purchase from us to then use on a domestic 3D printer is certainly one future avenue we are exploring.

Welsh Models are a Aircraft Kit model business based in 'South' Wales, United Kingdom. We are proud of our Welsh heritage and the Welsh Dragon proudly adorns our kits and web site alike.
The business was started in 1979 by the owner Densil Wade. The initial few 1:144th scale kits were somewhat basic by today's standards, but the company became known for its accuracy of scale and shape, two all important factors expressed as necessary by modellers themselves.
The company has evolved into a business which has now established itself into the 1:72nd scale market, and has a total of over two hundred kits in both scales together with conversion kits available for sale. There are various items for the range available for sale individually in the form of Pressure moulded Resin parts, metal parts and some decals from previous kits along with current window decals available.
Whilst the range was initially made of kits with Vacuumed Formed parts, this has diversified into Vac Formed fuselages with Pressure moulded resin and metal parts to complete, which greatly improve the finished shape and detail for modellers. The company has tried various ways of producing Pressure moulded fuselages, but due to the current credit crisis throughout the world, the spiralling cost involved has made us look at other ways of producing similar items at a much cheaper costing. This is certainly still being considered, but there has been a remarkable preference by skilled modellers to retain the current format, stating that there is less filling required with this current method than many mass produced plastic kits available today. This has allowed us to venture into producing Pressure Resin Moulded parts for the kits including engines and now undercarriage sets, which offer substantially more detail than ever before.
As ever we have tried to keep a balanced range of kits, with both civil, military, vintage and modern on offer. There are always those who contact us requesting various kits to be made, but we have to bear in mind the many other companies available on the market who produce similar or identical kits often at less cost. What Welsh Models have always strived for is correct detail and size within the scale. There are many small firms trying to do likewise, but after nearly 50 years in total of mould making, Welsh Models are fully aware of many considerations within mould making and production which achieve these details and sizes when manufactured. There are equally many individuals who produce kits as a side line or hobby, whilst having 'day' jobs. Whilst we often admire their efforts, they don't always achieve what the modeller needs, and thereby Welsh models is proud to produce kits that are revered by the public, for a reasonable cost, and with probably the most research and accuracy available today.
Not only have we established a large range of kits for sale in our own right, but we have also taken on the sole trading rights to sell 'Proteus' manufactured 1:72nd scale Kits. The owner Bob Crowe is an accomplished pattern maker and Welsh Models has assisted in bringing his kits to the market place. Sadly due to ill health, there have not been any recent releases from this company, but we are assured that work is taking place to bring further releases, hopefully during 2013.
