Ogre was the first hex-and-counter game I ever played. It might even be the first wargame I ever played. That truth has been lost in the mists of Time. I know non-wargamers who have shared fond memories about playing Ogre when they were younger.

Well. Ogre is very much alive, today. Steve Jackson Games has been supporting Ogre tremendously, these last few years. There have been too many releases to list here. I have been most excited about all the new miniature releases. Looks like there are still more of those to come.

My orders from SJG have always come with some extras. When I have ordered Ogre miniatures, there have always been a couple extra Heavy Tanks thrown in. There are usually cards thrown in for their various card games. When I have had to contact customer service with a question, I’ve always gotten top notch, fast service. My questions are ALWAYS answered in a speedy manner (no matter how dumb my questions are!).

I’ve been a fan since I bought my first copy of Ogre, back in the early 1980’s. However, I keep coming back, TODAY, because they love wargames as much as I do. They take care of me as though I were a member of the family. Their dedication to the games I love is unwavering. The game I bought in the early 1980’s is being actively supported, to this day. How many publishers and manufacturers can boast that???
