Ground Zero Games (GZG) is owned and run by Jon Tuffley, as Proprietor (Sole Trader). It is a one-man business, which means I get to do almost everything! Website administration (the technical stuff) is handled by Paul Owen of Binary Networks Ltd. At shows, I may have one or more volunteer helpers with me, but they are not GZG employees - so please be patient and polite with them, any complaints should be directed to me!

I have been running GZG since 1985, and it has been a full-time business for me since 1991; starting with a few resin-cast 15mm vehicles, the company and its ranges have grown and changed a lot over the years - now we produce exclusively in metal, having recently sold off the last of our resin model ranges. The one thing that has not changed is that I still produce everything (with a few minor exceptions like decals and dice) IN-HOUSE - design, mould making, casting production and packing and dispatch are all handled in one place.

GZG trades predominantly by mail order, shipping goods to customers in all parts of the world - we do not sell through distributors or retailers, preferring to deal directly with our customers. The one exception to this is that certain of our product lines are available in licence-produced form from Eureka Miniatures in Australia, for sale within the Australasian market. VAT is deducted from our retail prices for orders being shipped to countries outside the EU - the online store will show VAT-exclusive prices for you if you select that option.

We also attend a number of the major wargame shows in the UK each year, usually including SALUTE (Excel, London), TRIPLES (Sheffield), GAMES EXPO (Birmingham), COLOURS (Newbury), SELWG (Crystal Palace, London), FIASCO (Leeds), WARFARE (Reading) and possibly one or two others. Hovels have an excellent range of buildings,in all scales and periods, specifically designed to compliment any Wargaming table. The buildings and accessories are cast in resin and are available fully painted to a very high standard suitable to grace the table of the most discerning wargamer,but are also designed that when bought unpainted a very acceptable standard can be achieved by the do it yourself player. Leven Miniatures. After many years of playing 6mm, I decided to sell everything on eBay - big mistake as this took me from selling up, to starting a new 'hobby'.

In 2010 I started Leven Miniatures selling on eBay as there was little around in the 6mm scale at that time. In 2014, I took this hobby and changed it to a business venture, starting with 20 models, and building new ones at customers' requests.

As of today, I have over 400 models in more than 20 categories, ranging from Ancients to Modern, (but no sci-fi), and new models come along every few months, depending on the time I have to make them.

I'm always on the lookout for new ideas, or models that nobody else does in 6mm.

Microworld Games LLC started from very humble beginnings in 2008.  Initially, I had only intended the company to import Dark Realm Miniatures to the US, and perhaps expand to other lines in the future.

As time passed, I started to get the bug to produce miniatures of my own.  A longtime fan of 6mm sci-fi models. I had always wished there were similar offerings for fantasy.  So, armed with very little knowledge. And lots of enthusiasm, I went about emailing casters, mold makers and sculptors to see about getting models made. 

This resulted in our first fantasy release in January of 2009.  Since then, our offerings have expanded to include multiple 6mm fantasy armies. As well as some science fiction options.  The overarching vision for the company is to one day provide the wargaming community with a 6mm fantasy line. That rivals other smaller scales in terms of scope, army choice, and terrain.
