Novus Design Studio produce Miniature Terrain & Accessories for Tabletop & War Games. Compatible with D&D, Warhammer, Flames of War, Bolt Action, Games Workshop, Privateer Press, as well as many other games.

Novus Design Studio was established in April 2014 by Robert and Nancy Rumfelt who were the founders and original owners of JR Miniatures.

Robert and Nancy have always called the miniature gaming industry home because it is an area of shared interest and brings together their love of military history, model design and scale miniatures.

Here at Novus Design Studio, we create and manufacture a variety of scale buildings and wargaming terrain features for the miniature tabletop gaming and model railroad markets.  We supply tabletop gaming terrain, accessories and models wholesale and to retail hobby markets with high quality resin models with a special focus on customer service that includes a 100% fill rate and quick turn times on orders.

We take a design idea for a new model from concept all the way through to manufacturing.  The first step is to identify a market need for a certain product and to do this we engage our customers utilizing social media platforms to gather customer feedback and suggestions.  Receiving real time feedback from our customers is very important to us and helps to guide us through the new product development process.

The scene specialises in quality handmade terrain for tabletop wargames. Our handmade terrain is suitable for most scales, and can be used for many different genres. All our handmade terrain is strong and durable and made to the highest quality, to give you many years of enjoyment.

All our hills are individually hand made. They have a 6mm MDF base, this is attached to high density Styrofoam, and just in case this is not strong enough for you there are three coats of sharp sand added.

They are then painted in three coats of paint, and finished off with small areas of flock.

This makes the hills probably the strongest hills on the market.

Our hills are available in Grey and  Brown, as the pictures show.

They are also available in brown with grey rocky outcrops similar to the rocky outcrop scatter terrain. Desert, and grey with areas of snow.

They can be made pretty much to any size and thickness

We can provide custom made scenery, from any size hill right through to complete war games tables.
