Since I first started Copplestone Castings I've followed my changing interests (some would say whims) through the burning sands of the Gobi Desert to the dark forests of the Northlands, via the subterranean bases of evil masterminds, and sculpted an eclectic range of miniatures, mostly 28mm but with some 10mm and 15mm fantasy too.
Now these ranges are being looked after here at North Star and at last I'll have more time to add new miniatures to them.

Crann Tara Miniatures produces a range of 1/56 scale figures (approximately 30mm in height) the figures were originally sculpted by Richard Ansell, however Andy Stadden has now taken up the mantle.
John Dougan also sculpts part time and his main interest is the War in Savoy and we will see more from him over time.
We aim to make this the most comprehensive range of figures for the ’45 rebellion. This year should bring the Rebellion range of figures almost to an end.
I have decided to focus on the period in the mid-1740’s and therefore releases for the French, British, Savoia and Spain ( The Savoia, Spanish and some of the French are sculpted by John Dougan) are also appearing and there will be a few surprises along the way.
Cast in white metal by Griffin moulds these figures are some of the finest sculpted and cast. They are fully compatible with Fife and Drum miniatures and Minden Miniatures both of which are available from Jim Purkey in America.
All about Crann Tara Miniatures
Believing that the Jacobite Rebellion of the ’45 has been a ‘poor relation’ in terms of figure ranges and gaming periods Crann Tara Miniatures was formed by Graham Cummings in 2012. My aim being to provide a comprehensive range of figures to depict this exciting period.
I have been a figure painter, collector and gamer for more years than I care to remember. I have chosen to release figures which portray the uniforms and equipment on campaign, as a result many of the figures being released are unique and will provide the gamer, painter and collector with an opportunity to present this period as it should be.
With fours almost passed the Jacobite armies are nearing completion and Crann Tara is slowly moving into Europe – centred around the French and British armies.
Richard Ansell is my primary sculptor and focuses on the Jacobites, French and English.
John Dougan is my second sculptor, he sculpts part time as a hobby and is focussing upon the war in Italy at this time so you will see a slowly growing range of Savoia and Spanish forces.
Finally from time to time I do conversions or half sculpts and whilst most of these don’t make general sale some do get released as specials with limited numbers.
I trust you will have as much enjoyment collecting these figures as I have in securing their release.

Crescent Root Studio have designed and handcrafted models in a variety of scales. We strive to provide a quality product with excellent customer service. We do not use distributors. We to sell directly to our clients worldwide. At times we can get quite busy, so please check below for our current lead times.
Crescent Root Studio is a family-owned and operated company. We started production in late 2003 making foam-based models. In early 2005, the transition was made into manufacturing models in plastic (polyurethane resin). Currently, we are producing laser-cut and 3D printed models using a variety of materials. Since those early days we have expanded into multiple scales and lines with an eye always on developing and producing new products.
Every model that we produce touches our hands numerous times. From concept to reality - we design, assemble, paint and package every model. While this level of involvement does limit our production capacity, it also grants us oversight of every step in the process and enables us to be consistent in product quality and client support.
Crocodile Games is an association of creative individuals, dedicated to promoting excellence in the miniature gaming hobby. To this end, we are developing our own fantasy world, based on classic themes of mythology and ancient cultures.
This world is known as the "Antediluvian Age", and it is the setting for our WarGods series of games. WarGods is the game that we always wanted play, and it is our pleasure to share our creation with the rest of the world!
Chris FitzPatrick
Fitz sculpted his first miniature about 20 years ago, and has worked for many of the world’s leading miniature companies, including Ral Partha & Games Workshop in the UK. He contributed to the Dark Eldar miniature range for Warhammer 40K and designed the Dark Elf Army for Warhammer Fantasy. Fitz moved back to the USA in 2001, and started Crocodile Games and the WarGods game system. When not working on the next WarGods miniature, Fitz wastes his time playing RPGs, drawing and painting, & watching B-movies. He can even be seen acting in one -- playing the part of "Michael" in the Zombie Horror-Comedy movie "Dead at the Box Office", now available on DVD from amazon.com!
Felicity is no stranger to the world of gaming -- after spending many a year playing wargames and roleplaying games in the UK, she made the move to the USA where she joined forces with Fitz (both in marriage and in business) and together they make an unstoppable force! Felicity tries to keep things in ship-shape and working order back at the office and handles the sales, administration, graphic layout and painting.
Des Hanley - Artist
In real life, Des sits high atop his tower and gazes at the outside world and wonders: "what's the real world like?" After escaping from a small cubicle in the Games Workshop Design Studio, Des found himself wandering in an open desert. Within, he found some lost ruins & later revealed to him as the lost land of Ægyptus. But seriously, after 4 years as an in-house illustrator for GW, Des felt like a change of view... since then he has worked as a Conceptual Artist for The Lord of the Rings miniature range by Harlequin (now Black Tree Designs,) and provided numerous illustrations for FASA's Vor, the Maelstrom game. Des still does the occasional piece for Games Workshop's Black Library, with his pieces featured frequently in the pages of Warhammer Inferno!
John Wigley - Artist
John spent five years working inhouse for Games Workshop UK, after leaving Games Workshop he went to work for Mobius Entertainment as a concept artist, then spent several years working freelance for company's such as White Wolf games, Crocodile Games, AEG, Sabertooth and the Black Library.
Recently John worked for two years as a inhouse Concept artist for Rockstar Leeds UK.
Todd S. Harris - Sculptor
Todd S. Harris started sculpting three years ago, working in the evenings and weekends on historical 28mm miniatures. He began working full-time in July of 2001, sculpting figures for Reaper, WizKids, and Crocodile Games. Todd, who has had some formal art training, has been drawing, painting, model-building, wargaming, painting figures all his life, and feels that he has finally found a career that suits him. Sure enough, Todd is proving to be one of the rising stars of the miniature industry.
Ben "Hollywood" Siens - Sculptor
Somewhere on the sunny beaches of southern California is Ben Siens -- wearing Bermuda shorts and sipping exotic cocktails (you know, the kind with the little umbrella in the glass.) World renown for sculpting on the beach while wearing sunglasses, Ben designed his first miniature in November of 1999, and much to his surprise (but not ours!) has been designing them ever since. He cites playing with clay during his formative years as the basis of his formal training. Besides his excellent work for Crocodile Games, Ben has worked for such other companies as Reaper, Pegasus, and Wizards of the Coast. When asked about his goals, Ben says: "I hope that one day my skill catches up to my imagination, at which point you can all acknowledge me as the master of all things small . . . or not!"
Ryan Markle - Writer
Bryan Steele - Writer
Bryan has been a gamer for over two decades, but only professionally so for nearly one. Starting his career as a writer for Privateer Press in 2002 with the award-winning Warmachine: Prime and Iron Kingdoms RPG lines, Bryan soon moved on to working as a prolific staff writer for Mongoose Publishing for nearly six years. Despite having known Chris Fitzpatrick for many years, Bryan has only just begun his foray into Crocodile Games...and cannot seem to get enough! Now working happily as a freelance writer and miniature artiste through his own company Ursa's Den (www.ursasden.com), he sells his pen and brushes to the highest bidder as a self-styled "Mercenary of Gaming".
Herb Gundt - Model Maker
Since the cold winters of the past century, Herb has been creating models in his small, isolated workshop, hidden in the vast maize fields of far away northern Hoosierland. Although difficult to locate, Herb has managed to construct numerous modeling projects for a vast number of satisfied customers around the world. His client list includes Armorcast, Conquest Miniatures, Eureka Miniatures, Foundry Miniatures, Lucas Publishing, Old Glory Miniatures, Paizo Publishing, Wizards of the Coast, hundreds of private collectors and, of course, the amazing Crocodile Games. When rare sightings of Herb occur, he is usually seen covered in sawdust and paint, with disheveled hair and muttering things like “who’s calling me now” as he looks for a broom and dustpan.
Crooked Dice specialise in wargames rules and miniatures inspired by the many and varied iconic worlds of 60s-70s Cult TV.
Crooked Dice is me, Karl Perrotton – the lovechild of David Baddiel and an excitable control freak. A graphic designer by trade and a geek by birth, an unhealthy interest in old sci-fi TV and miniature gaming seemed a frankly ludicrous combination for setting up Crooked Dice.
Crooked Dice is small but perfectly formed. It’s a one man operation – so I write, design and produce all the rules, spec the miniatures, run the webstore, answer the emails and forum posts and do all the packing and shipping. Our output is small and perfectly formed – running the creative end from our secret underground bunker.
Our pewter casting is thanks to the miracle workers at Griffin Moulds (Jane, Rob and Lisa), Andy at Ainsty Castings and Martyn at MDP for production of our lovely toys.
Special thanks must go to the amazing sculptors who have brought the 7TV world to life: Jo Brumby, Martin Buck, Mark Evans, George Fairlamb, Shane Hoyle, Andrew Maclachlan, Andrew May, Steve McGuire, Neil Mckenzie, Ian Mountain, Andrew Rae, Greg Storey, Bill Thornhill, Ernst Veingart and Kev White.
For dazzling brushwork, we need to thank: Jon Atter, Simon Bradley, Martin Buck, Kev Dallimore, Mark Dixon, Matt Slade and Andrew Taylor.

Crossover Miniatures is my labor of love and I hope there is something we produce that you like.
I have been a miniature enthusiast since I can remember. It all started when I was young and I surrounded myself with comics, action figures and wargames. Recently I have been trying to find the perfect figure for a few different projects and couldn’t find them. So I decided to find a sculptor that could make my vision a reality. The end result is Crossover Miniatures.
We hope to bring you high quality, customizable super heroes, villains, and minions that can be used in any games you wish.

Why a Kickstarter and what are we offering
On May 22, 2019 at 8:00 PM EST, we will be launching our 10mm & 28mm Chaos/Infernal Dwarf & Hobgoblin Kickstarter campaign.
We believe that Kickstarter is the best way to get this first project off the ground.
For years, we have wanted a Chaos Dwarf army and this has allowed us to bring our unique feel to it. We have bought two 3D resin printers, a vulcanizer, a kiln, supplies, and a workspace.
We are engaged in this as a full time job. This Kickstarter will allow us to continue with other projects and ensure us the ability to deliver the miniatures to you in a timely manner, regardless of any issues that may arise.
Plus, we will be offering a bunch of freebies and stretch goals as exclusives. We will be making the miniatures in metal. We hope you're happy with them.
The products will also be available after the Kickstarter albeit at a higher cost on our online store.
First things first, I absolutely love fantasy miniatures. I have been collecting fantasy miniatures for over 37 years now. From lead to pewter to plastic to resin, I collect them all. If it is cool, I want it.
I started collecting miniatures in Christmas of 1983, which was exactly one year after an aunt bought me a very interesting Christmas present. What was this interesting present you ask? The Red Erol Otus Dungeons and Dragons Basic Set. Ahhh the memories…My first miniature set was the official TSR “Fighters Rangers and Paladins” set with the Jeff Easley cover. I still have that set and thousands of other classic miniatures to go along with it.
Well, back in 2002, I decided to give something back to the hobby I truly love by producing a line of premium miniatures for both gamers and collectors. I am sure that everyone has heard people in the hobby stores criticizing miniatures or complaining about this, that, and the other thing. Or you have overheard people talking about how cool it would be if a miniatures company would do this or if a miniatures company would do that.
Well, I guess you could say this company was inspired by my frustration that no one stepped up to the plate back in 2002 to start producing fantasy miniatures based on the artwork of one of my favorite artists of all time: Larry Elmore. Larry Elmore is one of the coolest dudes in the industry and I really wanted to see some new miniature lines based off of his phenomenal artwork.
In addition, there were a number of other fantasy miniature sets that I wanted to see produced. So instead of waiting until someone came out with the miniature sets I wanted to see produced, I decided to form a miniatures company and just go ahead and start producing them myself.
Dennis Mize and Larry Elmore were my two must-haves to make this venture worthwhile in terms of us all investing our time and energy. This would be a team effort and every team member needed to be up for the task. Well to make a long story short, I presented the concept to Larry and Dennis (along with a number other industry members) and we decided to green light the miniature line. We finalized the Dream Team in terms of artist, sculptors, mold making, casting, painters, packaging, graphic design, etc. and it was off to the proverbial miniature races.
Dark Sword Miniatures Inc. was born…
Fast forward to 2020 and we have just under 1,000 miniatures & miniature related products in the Dark Sword collection, and we work with Larry Elmore, Keith Parkinson’s estate, Jeff Easley, Clyde Caldwell, Stephanie Law and Tony DiTerlizzi. In addition, a number of years ago I was approached by a certain author that wanted to work with Dark Sword on multiple miniature related projects. He was not an artist, but he was writing a book series. I had not read his books yet, but I had them on my bookshelf awaiting the moment when I would have time to read them as my friends all raved about his book series. His name was George R.R. Martin and he loves miniatures as much as I do. He grew up on the 54mm variety, but has since come over to the Dark Side of the Force with 28mm heroic gaming scale miniatures. Dark Sword has now been officially working with George R. R. Martin, since 2007.
Dark Sword brings our miniatures to life in a style that can best be described as Fantastic Realism. To accomplish this, Dark Sword works with a very select core group of sculptors that includes: Tom Meier , Dennis Mize (RIP), Dave Summers, Jeff Grace, Patrick Keith, and Jason Wiebe. Other wonderful guest sculptors will jump into the fray from time to time with a piece or two as well. We also have some of the very best miniature painters in the world painting up our studio display models for your inspiration and viewing pleasure. Marike Reimer, Jen Haley, Jessica Rich and Matt Verzani have painted up the bulk of the Dark Sword studio collection. Jumping in to lend a brush here and there when time permits are other outstanding award-winning miniature painters such as Kat Martin, Jennifer Wojcik, Mary Profitt, Susan Wachowski, Rhonda Bender, Alison Bailey, Michael Proctor, Aaron Lovejoy, Jen Kaufman and Zach Lanier.
Our ranges have expanded beyond our core licensed fantasy artwork lines into creations of our own design. From awesome RPG characters to fun/cute anthropomorphic animals, we have all sorts of great choices and options to meet the needs of serious collectors, casual painters and gamers alike.
We have lost some good friends and industry giants along the way. Keith Parkinson passed away on October 26, 2005 and then less than five months later, Dennis Mize passed away on March 13, 2006. Both Dave Arneson and Gary Gygax passed away in 2009 and 2008 respectively. Their impacts on the gaming industry will forever be felt and they are all dearly missed.
Dark Sword Miniatures has a deep respect for the great miniature companies that came before us. Two of the key companies that paved the way for my love of miniatures at a young age were Ral Partha and Grenadier which were both formed in the mid 1970’s but later met their demise in the mid 1990’s amidst a rapidly changing game industry succumbing to the collectible card game craze. I grew up on both of these companies and still collect their miniatures to this day. And of course one must recognize Reaper Miniatures which stepped in to fill the massive void left by the passing of both Grenadier and Ral Partha from the mid 1990’s to today. Reaper Miniatures kept my miniature habit going strong and I still collect their miniatures as well. I now have the privilege of personally knowing the owners of both Reaper Miniatures and Iron Wind Metals (aka: Ral Partha reborn). ReaperCon and my visits to Ohio to hang out with the Iron Wind crew while visiting with a number of my Dark Sword sculptors are some of the funnest experiences a miniature nerd like myself could ever hope for. Ah the stories
