Crooked Dice specialise in wargames rules and miniatures inspired by the many and varied iconic worlds of 60s-70s Cult TV.
Crooked Dice is me, Karl Perrotton – the lovechild of David Baddiel and an excitable control freak. A graphic designer by trade and a geek by birth, an unhealthy interest in old sci-fi TV and miniature gaming seemed a frankly ludicrous combination for setting up Crooked Dice.
Crooked Dice is small but perfectly formed. It’s a one man operation – so I write, design and produce all the rules, spec the miniatures, run the webstore, answer the emails and forum posts and do all the packing and shipping. Our output is small and perfectly formed – running the creative end from our secret underground bunker.
Our pewter casting is thanks to the miracle workers at Griffin Moulds (Jane, Rob and Lisa), Andy at Ainsty Castings and Martyn at MDP for production of our lovely toys.

I just finished putting together my first direct order from Crooked Dice (although I’d already purchased a number of their products from online retailers). I thought I was dealing with ‘Karl’, the guy in Customer Service who just takes great care of me, but NO! I have been dealing with Karl Perrotton, owner, operator, and resident Imperious Leader of all of Crooked Dice!

I have honestly come to recognize the name of Crooked Dice as one of the leaders in the industry – one of the industry GIANTS. I am just astounded that all of this is handled by one dedicated individual, but I should have taken the hint: I received service as though the entire company was at my beck and call. Well, I guess it was!

I’ve come to LOVE Crooked Dice’s unparalleled scenery kits. I couldn’t do my Sci-Fi boarding action project without them. I’ve also got a number of products for my Sci-Fi and Modern Urban environments. I’m looking forward to diving into the world of Crooked Dice 28mm miniatures. I don’t think this will be my last order with Crooked Dice. I still see so much in the catalog that I’m drooling over!

P.S. Also, a big KONGRATZ, on acquisition of many of the lines from East Riding Miniatures. Those lines look as thought they will be a perfect fit at Crooked Dice. I can’t wait to order some of the new Corporate Wars miniatures!
