Oniria Miniatures’ main goal is to rise the quality and realism of small scale historical figures to higher levels.
This quest for excellence will benefit the enthusiast of these figures whether he’s a collector, gamer or painter. We want to offer, small scale figures with a 54mm-figure-quality (both sculpting and casting).
If our faithful costumers allow us to produce more sets, we’ll keep on bringing new sets to the market. Oniria Miniatures will grow (or not) depending on what painters or modelers decide. Every release is a challenge for us. A lot of passion, thoughts and doubts lies behind each set. After it’s released, it’s in the hands of the hobbyist to tell if we succeeded or not with our work.
Our Figures
Oniria Miniatures’ market space is narrow. From one side he 28mm market is mainly focused to wargamers who in most cases, place quantity before quality. On the other hand, figure painters usually prefer bigger scale figures to showcase their painting skills. Our objective is to produce figure sets to appeal painters from both sides.
One thing to consider is the controversial “scale issue” that affects 28mm figures. Given the accurate proportions of our figures, they are a bit taller than the average 28mm wargaming figure, which are in most cases out of proportion, so in scale, our figures are 1/48.
If we were to produce our figures as tall as the other 28s, the scale would have to go down to 1/56 which would be too small for what we want to offer in terms of details and realism.
Outpost Wargame Services are purveyors of Quality goods for Wargamers at affordable prices.
PartnersMarilyn (long suffering wife of Jeff) the buxom lady you usually see at shows, who runs the casting operation, takes your orders and tries to keep you happy, prints and binds the books and tells us all off (usually me!).
Jeff (the worrier) the guy you usually see at the shows, publishes the books, does the admin, did this site and doesn't have enough time to do all the other things he wants to do!
The Designers
Pete Foggin (the hippy) also an associate, designed all our 15mm figures, ships and the new 25mm Ancients, occasionally helps at the shows
Peter Rogerson (the Scottish Manxman) full time sculptor, designed our new Mexican revolution range and Border Reiver ranges, will do a whole lot more (when we can afford them!), has his own 'toy soldier' ranges. He comes highly recommended and is very reliable - can be contacted on 01624-816667 (Isle of Man)
Martin Baker full-time sculptor did our Highwaymen a long time ago(or so it seems!) currently working on our new range of 28mm Aztecs my, how his skills have developed!
The Authors
Tom Nutt (ex-serviceman, ex-bodyguard and now avid wargamer) Wrote our French & Indian Wars book and the three volumes for the Franco-Prussian, and has completed three others which we will eventually get published (honest!).
Dan Mersey (sometime Archeologist, another wargamer - when he gets the chance) Wrote Glutter of Ravens(our 'best seller') and the Medieval Burmese books, must have done him some good too he is now an editor for Brassey's Books!
Daniel Merseys Author of: Arthur: King of the Britons (Summersdale, 2004): From Celtic Hero to Cinema Icon Legendary Warriors (Chrysalis, 2002): Arthur, Beowulf, William Wallace, and more Glutter of Ravens (Outpost, 1998): Warfare in the Age of Arthur AD 400-700
The Customers
Yes, that's you! Our philosophy has been to try and produce the ranges that the 'big boys' ignore but that the wargamers would actually like to see. We have a couple of local wargame clubs which help us choose them, but we value all customer information. If you would like to see specific ranges produced - contact us! We cannot promise to produce everything - after all, we have to believe we will see a return on the investment. But if enough people ask (don't forget it can take up to six months to create even a relatively small range by the time it has been thoroughly researched)
We can offer 'club or group' funded ranges, where a range could be sponsored by a wargame club or group - the costs and arrangements would depend on the size of the range, but the idea would be to split the cost of producing the range and the figures would be produced freely for the sponsors (to the value of the original amount sponsored - at a discount). Contact us if you are interested.

Whether you are a hardened veteran of the steaming jungles of Borneo, a renowned explorer fresh back from icy wastes of the high arctic, a grim visaged soldier of fortune used to the seedy alleys of Shanghai or a hard-boiled shamus with a bullet creased fedora; you've found the right spot.
Some mugs’ll tell ya that playing with toy soldiers is for kids. After you knock’em flat, grab your dice and a mit full of Pulp Figures and join in the Rugged Adventure! .45s blazing, you can push these little character charged castings around the game table; fighting mad scientists, criminal kingpins or freakish flunkies until Ma calls you in for supper. If its liver and onions again I'd recommend pretending you didn't hear and go discover a lost city instead.
My name is Bob Murch and I sculpt these mini mugs when I’m not reading old pulp magazines or mushing a dog sled up here in the northern wilds. Take a look at my site. There's something for everyone who lives for two-fisted action

Rubicon Models design and manufacture 1/56 (28mm) hard plastic vehicles and figures for the Tabletop Miniature Games and Military Modeling market.
Rubicon Models manufactured hard plastic kits for the Tabletop Miniature Games and Military Modeling market.
Company Overview
For many years we have been a design studio, working on numerous projects for many Tabletop Miniature Game manufacturers and Computer Games publishers. When not designing miniatures for other people, we play and paint miniatures for fun ourselves. Our dream has always been to create miniatures under a brand name of our own.
The time has come to realize that dream with the launch of Rubicon Models.
Our vision is to create the best hard plastic model kits for the Tabletop Miniature Game and Military Modelling market. Each kit will be easy to assemble, highly detailed and accurate.
Our first project is to launch a series of hard plastic World War II vehicles and tanks in 1/56 (28mm) scale. What distinguishes us from other companies in this field is not only fine detail and accuracy but also all of our kits will be multi-variant. Each kit you buy might have several choices of main gun, two choices of road wheels, three choices of gun turret, detachable protective armour or even two choices of hull.
You get more choice for your money with a Rubicon kit!
