Murawski Miniatures Company Ltd produce 28mm high quality, historically accurate and well proportioned Napoleonic Poles and Duchy of Baden.

As avid collectors and painters, as well as gamers, of 28mm Napoleonic miniatures, our major area of interest is the 1812-1814 period in Russia and northern Europe. One of the frustrating things about collecting for this period of history was the lack of high quality, historically accurate and well-proportioned Duchy of Warsaw Poles, as well as many of the other smaller states. To this end we decided to do something about it; how else were we going to refight Borodino and Leipzig?

In order to fulfil my dream of having 28mm Duchy of Warsaw Poles I made contact with Paul Hicks, who in my opinion is the one of the best sculptors in the business, and between us we concocted a range of Duchy of Warsaw line infantry for the period 1812-1814 (although they can be used for 1809, the Peninsular etc at a pinch). To this end the first figures were released in February 2012 to an incredibly warm reception from across the globe. Due to this warm reception plans are afoot to complete the range this year, and over the coming months I expect to see released

Design notes

The figures have been designed by Paul Hicks to my specifications, and have been cast by Griffin Moulds – the best out there. As to “fit” with other ranges the figures have been designed to match the Perry, Foundry Perry (Russians, campaign French etc), Calpe and Victrix figures that make up the mass of my collection. They also seem to fit quite well with Front Rank Russians and Bavarians.
The “look” of the figures is very much that of “in the field” rather than parade ground. This is deliberate. That said figures have been designed with Czapska chords, plumes etc, but if you require scruffier (ideal for the Peninsular, 1813 campaigns etc) then we will be producing a range of “scruffy” figures.

Old Glory UK started trading in 1992 so that means we’ve been around for a good few years-selling quality models for wargamers and collectors at reasonable prices. During that time we have run up and down the gamut of history a couple of times and continue to import from Old Glory USA- our original parent company some of the finest wargames ranges available. 15mm Blue Moon A still growing range of larger 15mm models Ranges include Ancient Rome , Marlburian. Great Northern War Seven Years War FIW, AWI ,ACW Old West and Plains Wars . A large and growing Napoleonic range and most recently 19th century British Colonial wars and WW1 “Semi-historical” ranges include Deep Dark African Pirates, Gangsters and the 3 Musketeers.

Old Glory 25/28mm- A large range covering Ancient Egypt to WW1- examples include Carthage , Macedonia. Rome and her enemies. The Age of Arthur, The Pike and Shot era, the English Civil Wars the 18th century , from Marlborough to the AWI Over 400 packs of Napoleonic alone- including Napoleon on a Camel!.

An American Civil war range of over 100 packs and a substantial Colonial range for many of the Colonial wars of the 19th and early 20th centuries. We also own the “Brooks Miniatures” range of 28mm Modern miniatures.

The Authors

Tom Nutt (ex-serviceman, ex-bodyguard and now avid wargamer) Wrote our French & Indian Wars book and the three volumes for the Franco-Prussian, and has completed three others which we will eventually get published (honest!).

Dan Mersey (sometime Archeologist, another wargamer - when he gets the chance) Wrote Glutter of Ravens(our 'best seller') and the Medieval Burmese books, must have done him some good too he is now an editor for Brassey's Books!

The Customers

Yes, that's you! Our philosophy has been to try and produce the ranges that the 'big boys' ignore but that the wargamers would actually like to see. We have a couple of local wargame clubs which help us choose them, but we value all customer information. If you would like to see specific ranges produced - contact us! We cannot promise to produce everything - after all, we have to believe we will see a return on the investment. But if enough people ask (don't forget it can take up to six months to create even a relatively small range by the time it has been thoroughly researched)

We can offer 'club or group' funded ranges, where a range could be sponsored by a wargame club or group - the costs and arrangements would depend on the size of the range, but the idea would be to split the cost of producing the range and the figures would be produced freely for the sponsors (to the value of the original amount sponsored - at a discount).
