Baccus 6mm Ltd specialises in the design and production of wargames figures and accessories in the 6mm scale. Although it is often overlooked by the dominance of the 15mm and 28mm scales. The smaller figures offer huge advantages in terms of flexibility, prices and ease of painting. It often comes as a pleasant surprise to our new customers that they find 6mm figures easier and quicker to paint than their coarser-scale brethren.
6mm figures can be used to create small forces for those short of space and resources. But are at their best when used in the grand projects where large number of miniatures can be used in a small space to create a mass effect.
To those unfamiliar with Baccus figures the general perception of 6mm is of poor quality design. Little attention to detail and a general 'blobby' appearance. We take the attitude that small size should be no barrier to quality. And take great pride in the sculpting and design of our products. Special care goes into the General and Personality figures in the range. Perfect Six Scenics produces 1/300th scale, 6mm, 28mm and 32mm miniatures for wargaming and hobbyist hand sculpted and cast in white metal
After looking for a hobby to keep my over active mind. I stumbled on 6mm Napoleonic miniatures and found I had a talent for painting these tiny little soldiers. After a short time, as is my way, I gave up and placed what I had painted on eBay. And they sold fast so I painted some more and again sold. A customer contacted me and asked to paint some more as a commission. This soon led to the start of perfect six painting service. A painting service dedicated to 1/300th ,1/285 scale figures.
I found diorama basing for this scale works well and in fact better than well. It looks fantastic so I found myself searching the internet for suppliers of 1/300th quality scenic items. This is where my problems began as scenic’s were few and far between and the quality and range was up and down to say the least. So I decided to start sculpting my own bits and they looked good. From there, in 2015.
I had a couple of bits manufactured in white metal and with just 6 product lines. I started Perfect Six Scenics. A dedicated 1/300th scenic company. My aim is to make the range as large as 28mm scenic ranges. This will take time to achieve, and as my sculpting skills develop the complexity of the range will mature with me. From the first six products and I hoped to raise enough capital. To develop and manufacture another batch and improve the range.
In 2016 Perfect Six started an adventure into 6mm fantasy miniatures in the most part sculpted by myself. Like the scenics as the figure sale i will reinvest in more types and poses to grow the range, almost a reverse kick-starter where the initial risk has been taken by myself and the customer reaps immediate rewards.
