Crescent Root Studio have designed and handcrafted models in a variety of scales. We strive to provide a quality product with excellent customer service. We do not use distributors. We to sell directly to our clients worldwide. At times we can get quite busy, so please check below for our current lead times.
Crescent Root Studio is a family-owned and operated company. We started production in late 2003 making foam-based models. In early 2005, the transition was made into manufacturing models in plastic (polyurethane resin). Currently, we are producing laser-cut and 3D printed models using a variety of materials. Since those early days we have expanded into multiple scales and lines with an eye always on developing and producing new products.
Every model that we produce touches our hands numerous times. From concept to reality - we design, assemble, paint and package every model. While this level of involvement does limit our production capacity, it also grants us oversight of every step in the process and enables us to be consistent in product quality and client support.
Crooked Dice specialise in wargames rules and miniatures inspired by the many and varied iconic worlds of 60s-70s Cult TV.
Crooked Dice is me, Karl Perrotton – the lovechild of David Baddiel and an excitable control freak. A graphic designer by trade and a geek by birth, an unhealthy interest in old sci-fi TV and miniature gaming seemed a frankly ludicrous combination for setting up Crooked Dice.
Crooked Dice is small but perfectly formed. It’s a one man operation – so I write, design and produce all the rules, spec the miniatures, run the webstore, answer the emails and forum posts and do all the packing and shipping. Our output is small and perfectly formed – running the creative end from our secret underground bunker.
Our pewter casting is thanks to the miracle workers at Griffin Moulds (Jane, Rob and Lisa), Andy at Ainsty Castings and Martyn at MDP for production of our lovely toys.
Special thanks must go to the amazing sculptors who have brought the 7TV world to life: Jo Brumby, Martin Buck, Mark Evans, George Fairlamb, Shane Hoyle, Andrew Maclachlan, Andrew May, Steve McGuire, Neil Mckenzie, Ian Mountain, Andrew Rae, Greg Storey, Bill Thornhill, Ernst Veingart and Kev White.
For dazzling brushwork, we need to thank: Jon Atter, Simon Bradley, Martin Buck, Kev Dallimore, Mark Dixon, Matt Slade and Andrew Taylor.

Crossover Miniatures is my labor of love and I hope there is something we produce that you like.
I have been a miniature enthusiast since I can remember. It all started when I was young and I surrounded myself with comics, action figures and wargames. Recently I have been trying to find the perfect figure for a few different projects and couldn’t find them. So I decided to find a sculptor that could make my vision a reality. The end result is Crossover Miniatures.
We hope to bring you high quality, customizable super heroes, villains, and minions that can be used in any games you wish.

Empress Miniatures was established in 2008, originally by two 'war-games widows' of two wargaming husbands. Although the Empress team is still the same things have moved on significantly and the menfolk are a lot more involved these days.
One thing that has not changed is our company policy to research, design, develop and sell the highest quality products that we can. This is across all of our ranges of figures, vehicles and terrain as well as products that we sell on behalf of other companies.
Starting with our first range, The 1879 Zulu War, we now have large and developing ranges covering the Spanish Civil War, Jazz Age Imperialism of the Inter War years, English Civil War, Maori Wars, Abyssinia, WW1, WW2, Vietnam, Indian Mutiny and Ultra Modern. Added to these are ranges that we carry for other companies that compliment our own ranges. All of our ranges get frequently added to and it is our company plan to never ever 'finish' a range but rather constantly add to our lines to expand and refresh them.
In our very busy history we are proud to have developed an excellent reputation for quality and Customer Service. Our products are made to the very highest quality to ensure that you the customer get the best.
Pop by our internet shop and have a look.

From Dungeons & Dragons to full size dinosaurs. Tamiya kits to lifesize model Apache helicopters. Wargames scenery to interactive architectural planning models. Railway modelling to full-scale Eurostar prototype trains. We've dabbled in just about every kind of model there is, and aim to apply some of that experience to our ranges here.

Creativity is our driving force. Transforming ideas into models, sculptures, paintings and drawings is what makes us happy. If we can help and encourage others to do the same it makes us even happier.
Our main aim is to make that process simpler for anyone who wants to make cool looking scenery for their tabletop, reducing the time consuming, fiddly and repetitive tasks often associated with building from scratch. The amount of time required to make your own scenery and terrain can seem off-putting, especially these days, when 'free time' is a precious commodity. With our scenery building materials and a healthy dose of imagination fantastic looking scenery should be possible for anyone.
We hope you will feel inspired, enthused and excited with a brain on fire with ideas and fingers itching to cut, glue and paint your own amazing creations into reality.
