Novus Design Studio was established in April 2014 by Robert and Nancy Rumfelt who were the founders and original owners of JR Miniatures.
Robert and Nancy have always called the miniature gaming industry home because it is an area of shared interest and brings together their love of military history, model design and scale miniatures.
Here at Novus Design Studio, we create and manufacture a variety of scale buildings and wargaming terrain features for the miniature tabletop gaming and model railroad markets. We supply tabletop gaming terrain, accessories and models wholesale and to retail hobby markets with high quality resin models with a special focus on customer service that includes a 100% fill rate and quick turn times on orders.
We take a design idea for a new model from concept all the way through to manufacturing. The first step is to identify a market need for a certain product and to do this we engage our customers utilizing social media platforms to gather customer feedback and suggestions. Receiving real time feedback from our customers is very important to us and helps to guide us through the new product development process.

I am an architectural model maker by trade and can therefore bring an industry type quality to my work but not at the expense of wargaming style. I enjoy wargaming and the hobby as a whole and hopefully this is apparent in my work.
I specialise in Japanese buildings, fortifications and terrain (hence the Japanese feel to the site) but this doesn't mean that other periods and theatres are left out, on the contrary, I can turn my hand to anything, any scale, anytime, anywhere using as much relevant research as possible to achieve the desired effect.

The XLC Forged in the fires of battle, bathed in the blood of fallen heroes, these strongholds provide sanctuary and protection for those who are weary from the onslaught of enemy fire….. Oh ok, well in reality these are made from quality MDF sheets in our laser cutter and apart from one small fire they haven’t actually seen much battle (but …. frigging laser!!)
We are a small laser cutting company based in Northampton. Whilst we take on all manner of laser cutting work, our hearts are in the wargame terrain that we design and build. Who am I?
My name is Jörg Bender.
Uups, there is no letter ö in your alphabet? So let’s make it Joerg.
I am German and came to the US with my family in January 2014, when my wife, Petra, started working for the employer of her dreams. And she still does.
For me, this meant becoming a homemaker at first. And after about 1.5 years I decided to start my own business, based on what I have done before. Back in Germany I had an online store www.pumika.de and I sold dollhouse and wargaming miniatures. Mostly conventional retail items from all over the world (Europe, USA, Canada, Japan), some of them hard to find in Germany.
Why „Things from the Basement“?
Over the last 20 something years or so my spot for designing, building and painting miniatures of all sorts was the basement. And now it is again! So why not call my business “Things from the Basement, LLC”? And to show that I am serious about it, I registered as an LLC.
What does “Things from the Basement” do?
Well, obviously selling dollhouse and wargaming miniatures. But this time my intention is to do it a bit differently.
Again I am selling dollhouse and wargaming miniatures, with the focus being wargaming.
I design and manufacture laser-cut HDF (High Density Fiberboard) kits for 28mm, 15mm and 20mm figures. All kits are highly detailed, yet easy to assemble. Buildings open up for easy access during gaming. Most kits are made of a variety of materials like HDF, chipboard, paper and whatever else is needed to create realistic and functioning models for your gaming table.
My ranges cover several historical periods and geographical areas as well as Fantasy and Science Fiction. And in case you can’t find what you are looking for: time allowing I also do custom projects!
In addition to that you will find complementary products from different companies. Mostly from Europe and not always easy to find in the US.

Titan Terrain NZ, I'm Joe, tabletop gamer and terrain enthusiast from New Zealand. In 2017, I was about to make a large, expensive order of terrain from overseas. Then I realised I could spend slightly more, buy a small laser cutter and make more terrain than I could possibly want. I got started and a few friends suggested that what I was making was good enough to sell. So, I bought a bigger laser cutter and dove in, designing, cutting and making what is now Titan Terrain NZ.
I believe a good looking wargaming table makes a game better. It can turn a game into a story and rolling dice and moving models into one of my favourite ways to spend an afternoon.

I know the prices of getting your files printed is pretty restrictive at times so here at WOW Buildings we would like to offer you the chance to save some of your hard earned hobby savings.
I have started selling licences for people to be able to sell the printed versions of my designs, for that reason i don't print myself anymore, i want to concentrate on designing so the files will be available through WOW Buildings but printing is done by the licensees.
the licenced sellers also have full rights to sell the printed versions and can set their own prices. i am happy to steer you to them if you let me know where you are based i will let you know who is in your zone as best i can.
I do myself have a few contacts here in the UK who have the licence and will do you very competitive quotes so again just let me know what you are looking for and i will pass you on to them, please bear in mind printed items although i guarantee the files will print i am not connected to the printers so once i pass you on the deal has no connection to WOW Buildings
