We have a very active membership and are always happy to see new faces.
The club has consistently showcased games at most of the Scottish and some North of England Wargames shows. And we organise our own annual wargaming show – CARRONADE!
We are an informal, easy going group and are happy for anyone to come along, have a chat and see what we do. We welcome and encourage new players whatever their age or level of experience. With over 50+ members you are likely to find a willing opponent for your system of choice!
Tabletop Wargaming
Our members play a diverse range of tabletop wargames from historical, fantasy, Sci-Fi and all the sub-genres in between!
On any given night you are likely to see historical battles being played out on land, air and sea, alongside fantasy skirmishing or epic battles in mythical realms. Or even beyond, to galactic encounters in deepest space! Our members represent a broad range of experience and interests covering all aspects of our wargaming hobby.
We also have a lively presence on Facebook, Club & Wargaming group and RPG & Board Games group.
RPG & Board Games
Many of our members own and play a diverse range of board games and often slip into roleplaying character for a spot of adventuring, transporting themselves from the club hall to some fantastical world full of danger, heroics, sacrifice and treasures. At least, for a few hours!
Alongside tabletop wargaming, our members regularly set up elaborate board games, often taking advantage of the extended club Sunday opening hours for epic games or RPG sessions.
We even have a dedicated Board Game & RPG Facebook group and a BoardGameGeek guild!
