Welcome to Roden Kits The firm works on the following directions:
Solid-state modeling and industrial design
Products and tooling design
Tool manufacturing
Manufacturing of plastic items
The ideology of new products' design is based upon the solid-state modeling that allows not only to create the design of the product and to conduct its computer assembly, but also to evaluate design as a whole and to judge the solutions that were adopted during the projecting stage.
Working with CAD/CAM/CAE systems during the design stage allows to create the mathematical models of every separate part that are further used in tooling design and in development of the programs for the digital control machines. The mould design engineers, the industrial engineers and programmers of digital control machines get perfect projects to work with that allows to compete on the market not only with quality and design, but also with the rapidity of new products introduction. Having an extensive experience in design of the technical products, computer accessories, food and technical packaging, airplane model kits and armored technics we are ready to provide any kinds of the above stated services for you…
The development of tooling is conducted by the way of implementation of CAD/CAM/CAE systems using the mathematical models of the parts created during the product's design stage. This ensures high quality and accuracy of the press tools and moulds being produced. If necessary, the overall analysis of product's integrity during moulding as well as strength analysis are conducted. RODEN owes its success on the world's market primarily to the high quality of the products that is set in at the stage of tooling design.
The tool manufacturing specializes in manufacturing of press tools, moulds, polygraphic cliches, matrices for vacuum-moulding, details of complex configuration.
Extensive experience of working with the digital control machines allows to produce unique in their complexity electrodes for electric discharge machining, parts with double curvature surfaces, engrave polygraphic cliches of any configuration.
The traditional selection of technologies used by tool manufacturers is enlarged by such a unique technology as Ni-Co galvanoplastica for the production of forming moulds' inserts according to the master-model of the product.
Roden Kits pays special attention to the quality of moulding and the plastic materials used in the production process.
Here our ideas are embodied into real products.
The moulding of plastic articles is conducted on injection moulding machines with the volume of injection from 45 to 250 cm3.
The technical products, airplane and armored technics model kits are in the quantity production.

Rubicon Models design and manufacture 1/56 (28mm) hard plastic vehicles and figures for the Tabletop Miniature Games and Military Modeling market.
Rubicon Models manufactured hard plastic kits for the Tabletop Miniature Games and Military Modeling market.
Company Overview
For many years we have been a design studio, working on numerous projects for many Tabletop Miniature Game manufacturers and Computer Games publishers. When not designing miniatures for other people, we play and paint miniatures for fun ourselves. Our dream has always been to create miniatures under a brand name of our own.
The time has come to realize that dream with the launch of Rubicon Models.
Our vision is to create the best hard plastic model kits for the Tabletop Miniature Game and Military Modelling market. Each kit will be easy to assemble, highly detailed and accurate.
Our first project is to launch a series of hard plastic World War II vehicles and tanks in 1/56 (28mm) scale. What distinguishes us from other companies in this field is not only fine detail and accuracy but also all of our kits will be multi-variant. Each kit you buy might have several choices of main gun, two choices of road wheels, three choices of gun turret, detachable protective armour or even two choices of hull.
You get more choice for your money with a Rubicon kit!
You get more value for your money with a Rubicon kit!
Our name stands for:

S & M Models produce 3 sets of decals for a Silver City Airways subject was the original mission in 1999. Since its humble beginnings S&M Models has grown considerably to produce products that celebrate forgotten or ignored British aircraft, airlines and airliners. The first model, a Vickers Viscount proved a steep learning curve and an alternative production method with lower volumes was clearly needed. The method of resin casting was identified allowing for the production of more esoteric subjects that would never be considered by mainstream manufacturers.
It has now been possible to augment our range by issuing other manufacturers tooling with our own markings and box art. Diversity has also been brought about by importing various ranges that have not been available for many years in the UK and Europe including Williams Brothers from the USA as well as Old Models from New Zealand. And not forgetting our roots, we offer a large range of markings for diverse subjects from the Golden Age of British Aviation. We will continue to offer subjects outside of the mainstream and work with our suppliers to bring new and innovative kits and decals to the market.
With over 40 years of plastic modelling and aviation experience the company is well positioned to inform, advise and assist. If you have a question, suggestion or would like to provide feedback just give us a call or email.

S&S Models produce the largest range of cold war military vehicle models in 1/72 scale. we also make models in 28mm and 15mm scales as well as terrain.
About
This may surprise some of you but S&S Models started way back in 1986!
It was started by Stewart Crosby and Shaun Matthews, we are 2 wargamers from Burnham on sea in Somerset U.K. and we still own and run it.
We are both members of the ‘Escape Committee Wargames Club’ winners of various awards for excellent demo games at a lot of the UK shows.
(for more details see the relevant page on this site)
Back in the early 80’s gamers and modelers had limited choice for vehicles, guns and figures apart from the plastic models by Airfix, Matchbox, Nitto, Hasegawa and Fujimi there was virtually no resin or metal models in 20mm (1/76-1/72) scale apart from Gramodels, Red Star and Eric Clark and you could only buy the Eric Clarke models if you were in the M.A.F.V.A. (The miniature afv assoc) and so were really hard to get and expensive compared to the plastic ones easily bought in toy and model shops.
In those days gamers generally used mainly plastic kits and only bought resin or metal when you could not get the relevant model in plastic.
When 2 new companies started to advertise new ranges of resin models for sale in the model magazines at a reasonable price we both became interested and duly sent off for some models to expand our collections.
After a few weeks the models arrived and after opening the box we were quite frankly disappointed with the contents, very fragile & broken mudguards, huge air holes and some not even looking like the real vehicles.
After some thought i decided i could scratch build some better ones as i had been converting plastic kits for years, even making them for fellow club members.
We asked a few members what sort of models they would like us to make and after a small list was made we started on the first 2 vehicles an M8 Greyhound and an M20 armoured car which seemed to be the most popular choice.
These club sales gave us enough profit to enable us to buy more resin and rubber which at the time was very expensive in comparison to now and the range grew as we added the Cromwell turret to convert the Matchbox Comet and an a/a turret for the Airfix Crusader.
As our mastering skills and moulding skills grew we started to think about sending off models for review in the various magazines available and our very first review was in Army and Navy Model world magazine, in the June 86 issue, the magazine is sadly long gone, steadily sales grew and more suggestions came flooding in, some good some not so good.
For most of this time we were both working full time with our ‘real’ jobs and sorting the mail order and attending shows at weekends, now one of us does this full time as the sales and range have steadily grown.
Please note, we can supply any of the parts of the current range for your own conversions ect and can sometimes supply parts from older models as well as we have lots of old moulds still here.
Our policy has always to ask you what you want and to try if possible to make them available if we think there is enough interest hence the 15+ club list.
We strive to make the next model better than the last and to use the relevant material for the models parts making them easier to cast and also making them much stronger so gamers can be confidant they will last more than 5 mins on the gaming table.
We also reserve the right to alter or amend any materials or methods of construction as we see fit.
I still have one of the awful resin models we bought and i sometimes look at it to inspire me to make our models even better.
All models are supplied as a single model, unless stated, and are delivered unmade and unpainted and are not for sale to anyone under the age of 18 years due to small parts and some may contain lead.
Thanks for your interest

Sally 4th is a new business designing and manufacturing precision laser cut kits for historical and fantasy gamers. We are initially focusing on castles and associated medieval and ancient buildings. I have been gaming for 3 decades now and have always been fascinated by castles. I've scratch-built a fair few, brought castle kits in resin, plaster and plastic, and even had a go myself 20 years ago manufacturing castle components in resin, but none of these were quiet right. I believe that precision cut mdf offers the perfect medium for this type of modeling and have finely come up with a product that I'm happy with.
Sally 4th's castle range are robustly constructed, very stable (I hate walls that fall over when my beautiful miniatures are balanced on top of them!), easy to assemble and paint and offers an expandable system. Our models are very detailed with an option for towers with interiors featuring spiral staircases. I am very excited by this project and have a to do list of around 40 additional castle pieces to add to the range, including ruined options, alternative crenellations and interior features such as chapels and stables.
