Wargames Design Workshop was founded in 2017 by Dave Hutchby and Clive Holland, who have over 80 years wargaming experience between them. Wargames Design Workshop has successfully bought back several retro 25mm brands:

Concentrating mainly on historical miniatures, there is a wide selection ranging from the mighty City of Ur, through to the end of the Medieval period. Also are included the Original Dixon ‘Flodden’ range and onwards through the Wars of Religion to the ACW and Zulu wars period. Due to the flexibility of the QT range, new nationalities are continuously being added to the ‘Ancients’ period. Consequently the range is ever expanding and we welcome suggestions for new ideas.
Finally, we have an extensive range of animals, everything from Andrewsarchus (a large prehistoric mammalian carnivore) to Zebra via dinosaurs, the yeti and yaks, including a large range of farmyard and wild animals, carts, and civilians.

Our BrandsAmazon MiniaturesAmazon Miniatures brought together a number of previously out of production brands and then went on to produce their own ranges. There were some historical such as Chinese Han and Tang, Border Reivers and some WWII, however their Pulp ranges of Guns and Girls and various street gangs undoubtedly got the most attention (good and bad!). But finally it was the animals: African animals, farm animals, prehistoric animals which made them the essential accessories for almost every wargamer.
Original DixonsDixons Miniatures are of course still ever expanding their figure ranges. Amazon Miniatures took over the early ranges from Dixons because these miniatures fitted in well with the QT ranges that they had already acquired.
QTThe QT 25mm multi-part miniatures were originally designed and produced by Dave Hoyle (Museum Miniatures). The range covered ancients through to American Civil War. The interchangeable heads and weapons led to great possibilities for customisation.
QT passed on to Sabre Miniatures for a short time before being acquired by Amazon Miniatures under whom there were new additions and variants added.
PendragonSculpted by Barry Minot but put out by Pendragon Studios Ltd, the range includes many accessories used in role play and fantasy wargames.
SKTWhen Amazon passed over the Garrison Miniatures, well …, to Garrison Miniatures other Greenwood & Ball ranges also went with them such as Admins, Rose, and SKT. Except for the Zulu Wars. To reduce confusion then these got re-branded to be Amazon Miniatures Zulus and further accessories and some non-historical females were added to that range.

Wargames Elite is the sister site of Satanic Panic Miniatures which produces exceptional 28mm multi-part miniatures based on classic fantasy themes.
I've been involved in historical and fantasy wargaming since 1981 or thereabouts and owned and managed Dungeons & Starships in the mid to late 90s, so you may say that I've pretty much lived and breathed wargames.
In 2011 I quit my job in the civil service on a boredom driven whim and literally the very next day, next day set up as a full time miniature painter, and continue to be such to the present day.
In 2012, my first book about growing up in the 1980s during what was arguably the golden decade for gaming in general, was published.
Then, in 2014, I had the notion to start producing quality miniatures.
So, I raided my piggy bank and bought an off the peg range of 28mm fantasy and science fiction cultists which were eventually sold to Athena Miniatures a few years later.
I had began to have ideas.
I wanted to produce fantasy figures which were as much fun as the models I (and others) grew up with in the 80s.
In 2014, Satanic Panic Miniatures was born, and over the next 6 years, working with some talented designers and mould makers, 4 distinct ranges were launched and gained a loyal and enthusiastic fan base.
But I still had an itch.
I'd come up with the W.E brand in 2019, because, being a historical gamer, fantasy was not going to tick all my boxes, and it was, I was certain, going to end up with the production of historical models.
By chance, I was looking at building a Mongol army, and came across Barry Lee's range which just happened to have been sculpted by Martin Buck who, had produced all of the Satanic Panic Miniatures ranges for me.
E-mails went back and forth, and a few hours later like Victor Kiam, I was so impressed, I bought the company.
Wargames Elite was born.

Warmill is the brainchild of Ed and Harry, 2 friends who studied Modelmaking at University and wanted to make something a bit different. Starting back in 2010 with a range of engraved acrylic bases inspired by graphic design rather than the more traditional basing style, Warmill has always aimed to make things that are a little bit different.
Warmill's terrain range is driven by the ethos that terrain should be more than just a box; whether it's interesting structures or elements that help tell a story about the world the terrain belongs to, it should always add more to the battlefield than a simple obstacle.
For 2016 Warmill is taking its first steps into game design with the board game Space_Kaboom!, designed from a desire to create a simple but elegant combat game as an antidote to bloated and complicated rulesets.
