The Herts Volunteers Gamers Club are a wargames club based between Bishop’s Stortford and Saffron Walden for both experienced and new gamers – aged 16 years and upwards.
We meet at Quendon and Rickling Village Hall every 3rd Saturday of the month from 12 Noon until 18.00.
Miniature Wargaming is part of the ‘adventure games’ hobby, which includes role playing and board games. Wargamers recreate battles on the tabletop with toy soldiers, like a more complicated game of chess.
This means that we meet as a group and play games with usually a military, historical or conflict orientated theme. These games are sometimes based on historical events or on fantasy situations. We play them in various different ways.
