One British Lanchester 6×4 armoured car. Available in 6mm (1/285), 12mm (1/144), 15mm (1/100), 20mm (1/76) and 28mm (1/56).
The Lanchester 6×4 armoured car was a British armoured car with a 6×4 drivetrain produced in limited numbers in the late 1920s and early 1930s. A heavier, more rugged development of the earlier Lanchester 4×2 armoured car, it remained in service with Territorial and colonial units until the early 1940s and saw action in the Battle of Malaya.
4 different variants are available:
Mk I – Dual rear wheels, flat topped commanders cupola
Mk IA – Command version without hull machine gun
Mk II – Single rear wheels, bishops mitre shaped commanders cupola
Mk IIA – Command version without hull machine gun
A single Lanchester Mk IIA had the turret changed with the turret from the Vickers Light tank Mk IV. So in case you wanted to model this we can confirm that the turret from our model of the Vickers Light tank Mk IV will fit all our Lanchester 6×4 models.
