Aotrs Shipyards is a webstore on Shapeways.com, a 3D print house which had production and shipping facilities located in the USA and the the Netherlands.

Just in time for Christmas, we have the second wave of Wodef Enclave ships!

      Nar Flon-Kaylo Class Strike Corvette

Named for a predatory sea-creature that attacks in swarms, the Nar Flon corvette was introduced shortly after the Jodinf cruiser family. The Nar Flon is a typical standard corvette vessel, with average manoeuvrability and slightly-above average defences. The Nar Flon sees typical use in a supporting role.

The Kaylo configuration is a missile support craft. It is armed with three Solon Missile pods on its side and forward hardpoints. Two Rulifnoor Point Defence Turrets give it some protection, though it typically relies on escort vessels for defence against fighter or missile attack. The Nar Flon-Kaylo sometimes is used as an escort vessel by replacing its standard warheads with point-defence missiles.

      Nar Flon-Noalo Class Corvette

The Nar Flon’s Noalo configuration replaces the Solon Missile Pods with three Dalaon 348M Heavy Lazer Projectors. While having no weapons outside of the forward arc aside from the Rulifnoor PDTs, the Nar Flon-Noalo is capable of dealing considerable damage, thanks to the Kil-Dusi-Paor 9 firecontrol system. Typically used in formations of six with a single point-defence vessel (often a Dofio-Noalo Point-Defence Frigate), the Nar Flon-Noalos make sweeping flank attacks.

      Dofio-Kaylo Class Frigate

The Dofio Frigate family fills various supporting roles in the Enclave fleet. Agile and well-protected for its size, the Dofio’s main armament is centred around spinal-mount Dalaon 349K Heavy Lazer Projector, a larger version of the 348M, which is common to most versions. Six Rulifnoor Point Defence Turrets supplement the main gun.

The Kaylo configuration uses the side hardpoints to mount a pair of Solon Missile Pods. Most often used to provide additional missile support, sometimes, like the Nar Flon-Kaylo, the Dofio-Kaylo is equipped with point-defence missiles. They are more commonly seen operating with Jodinf-Kaylo cruisers, however, supplementing the larger vessel’s firepower with their own.

The Noalo configuration of the Dofio mounts six additional Rulifnoor Point Defence Turrets. This version serves as the most common point-defence platform in the Wodef fleet.

      Hadfe Morr-Kaylo Class Torpedo Cruiser

      link

The Hadfe Morr light cruiser family fills a small set of supporting roles in the Wodef Enclave fleet. Designed primarily around the requirements of the Kaylo configuration’s torpedo launchers, the volume of space in the hull lent itself to other secondary functions better than the older hulls.

The Hadfe Morr- Kaylo configuration is centred around the four forward and rear Fonolun Torpedo Launchers. The launchers are supplied with sixty torpedoes.

The four side and two rear dorsal side hardpoints are occupied by Gerfery 279 Heavy Lazer Cannons on 0152-class turret mounts, and the forward ventral hardpoints both carry Solon Missile Pods. Nine Rulifnoor Point Defence Turrets complete the armament.

All photos are in WSF. (The Wodefs just barely predate us getting our Replicator!)

Next month will see the last wave of Wodef ships, and hopefully February or March will see the release of the Xyriat carriers and small craft.

Have a good Christmas (and/or appropriate holiday otherwise) and the Shipyards will be back in the New Year!

Accelerate & Attack: Aeons of War is also out now (a generic build-your-own ships system suitable for any set of models) is also now available of Wargames Vault here:

There is also a free Web Enhancement Pack; this contains the markers and the QR sheet the latter of which is an indicator of the level of the game if you want to have a quick nosey.

And, of course, I’m always happy to answer questions about it (though your best bet is to contact me through the Wargame Vault or Shapeways PM, since that PM system here isn’t open to everyone and these days, putting your email address on a forum is a no-no!)
