Once upon a time BPLaser Miniature Scenery were forcibly ejected from a games store and told to do something useful.
So we started a games club.
12 years on, we have a huge amount of handmade terrain, and a lot of people asking "Do you make and sell terrain?"
It is simply not economical to mass produce handmade terrain for sale,... so we bought a laser, (one does not simply buy a laser), and started redesigning our terrain for production on said laser.
Fast forward to now....
Rebecca is a clinical nurse who has been involved with wargaming for as long as she remembers, and Paul is an engineer who has translated his work to a smaller scale.

Crescent Root Studio have designed and handcrafted models in a variety of scales. We strive to provide a quality product with excellent customer service. We do not use distributors. We to sell directly to our clients worldwide. At times we can get quite busy, so please check below for our current lead times.
Crescent Root Studio is a family-owned and operated company. We started production in late 2003 making foam-based models. In early 2005, the transition was made into manufacturing models in plastic (polyurethane resin). Currently, we are producing laser-cut and 3D printed models using a variety of materials. Since those early days we have expanded into multiple scales and lines with an eye always on developing and producing new products.
Every model that we produce touches our hands numerous times. From concept to reality - we design, assemble, paint and package every model. While this level of involvement does limit our production capacity, it also grants us oversight of every step in the process and enables us to be consistent in product quality and client support.
Foxhole Terrain are located in a small town just outside of Atlanta Georgia - Austell. Janet and I started FHT to have something to occupy Dan's time. I have always enjoyed working with my hands, and I have a lot of experience in scratch building wargaming accessories: buildings, rivers, roads, fences, etc. I also worked for myself as a handyman, so building/sculpting came naturally.
I researched sculpting, mold making, and casting. I am self taught in most aspects of the company. I was able to expand because the resin and mold material was no longer as toxic and it did not require a special workspace and a bunch of other tough requirements. We started in the summer of 1996 with a few products sold on our website. Our first convention was Cold Wars in 1999.
The name, Foxhole Terrain, did not originate from my last name. I took a break from gaming to get back into live music. I have played drums for 35+ years. It was one of my first loves. We have a full basement, so I turned it into a large music room.
Our basement is almost completely underground, and one of the first musicians to visit said it was like a foxhole. He did not know my last name at the time. The band constantly called the music room the foxhole, so the room was christened “The Foxhole”.
When I first started sculpting and making molds, it was in the music room, “The Foxhole”. Since I was mainly making terrain stuff, we decided to call the company Foxhole Terrain.

Frontline Wargaming manufacture various ranges of 15mm, 20mm and 25mm terrain, buildings, vehicles and figures suitable for many periods.
All furniture and vehicle ranges are now being produced in polyurethane resin, which speeds production and are more durable. I will still be using polyester resin for the larger scenery etc. The only downside is higher material cost therefore I have to put a price increase on these ranges.

The buildings and accessories are cast in resin and are available fully painted to a very high standard suitable to grace the table of the most discerning wargamer, but are also designed that when bought unpainted a very acceptable standard can be achieved by the do it yourself player. We plan to extend our range of buildings over the next year and are always open for suggestions for new additions.
