Background on the people behind PNF Figurines Australia, how our product range has grown, and how to contact us.
Greg Sheppard comes from a naval orientated family (RN) and served 7 1/2 years in the RAN as an ABMTP. He left the Navy in 1991 as he wanted to provide a stable home environment for his family.
Greg's a keen plastic modeller. However, he's always complained that no one made naval figurines and so Jackie came up with the idea to make a range of sailors.
As a result PNF Figurines Australia was established in 1992. As Greg is somewhat of a perfectionist, we go to great lengths to ensure accuracy and attention to detail is maintained.

We have expanded our range enormously over the years and now cover Navy, Army (WWI - Mounted Lighthorse, Mounted Australian Camel Corp, WWII, Vietnam) their allies (British, New Zealand) as well as their adversaries (German, Turkish), Biblical, Anglo Scottish Wars, Knights, Guards (4 out of 5 Regiments and are working on the 5th), as well as Chess Sets.

Polkovnik Productions started writing wargames rules because I was not happy with some of the rules I have played, and wanted certain things in the games I play that didn't seem to be currently available in other rules. On this website you will find information about the wargames rules I have written and details of how you can get hold of them. You will hopefully soon find some independently written reviews of my rules and game reports.
The rules I write reflect the type of game I like to play. Polkovnik Productions consider the most important feature of any set of rules to be the Command & Control mechanics. Polkovnik like games where you cannot simply move all your troops on your turn. I like there to be restrictions on what you can activate and when. I believe this makes for interesting and challenging decisions, which is what I think games should be all about. Also I like to keep downtime to a minimum, so that both players are involved at all times, and I prefer games you can play with little or no need to refer to the rulebook or even a playsheet.

Prince August Toy Soldier Factory manufactures hundreds of rubber moulds that allow our customers to cast metal figures.
Prince August is a Swedish Company that came to Ireland in the 1970s and is dedicated to the hobby of metal casting toy soldiers. Casting a soldier takes about 5 minutes. The process is very easy to pick up and even children can become proficient casters in less than an hour. There are short videos and tutorials on our website explaining all aspects of the hobby.
We also have a wide range of wargaming figures from Warzone Mutant Chronicles and Chronopia, War in the eternal realm. These 28mm tabletop wargames are simple to learn and offer endless hours of entertainment for friends and family.

I’ve been playing wargames with miniatures or collecting toy soldiers for more than 40 years now. For the last 9 years, I have been an official dealer for several toys soldiers makers selling them through the Internet or at show in Belgium, France and UK.
What became my favourite part of this activity was to create and sell terrain/scenery that would enhance the toy soldiers display.
What was the best part of my activity became also the most frustrating : it was interesting and challenging to design new pieces, a bit less to reproduce them several times. On top of this frustration was the lack of time I had to produce sufficiently to respond my customers requests.
It’s quite naturally that I think 3D printing would solve this dilemma : allow me to design new pieces and let the wargamers /diorama builders print exactly what they need.
I will be starting with a roman camp for 10mm/12mm figures that can be easily 150% resized to fit 15mm figures.
I will be posting update on my work. In the meantime I’m also thinking on the way to distribute the .stl files.
