Pithead Miniatures
Business Genre
Long Business Description

Pithead Miniatures is only a small part time business but we consider that our products provide customers with unequalled choice and value in this scale.

Here are some of the reasons why:

Pithead produce the biggest range of 10mm models for WW2.

We have always been and will continue to be the most inexpensive maker of multipart models in this scale.

We produce models for the greatest range of combatant nations of any manufacturer in any scale.

Our models are scrupulously researched, for example our Sherman M4 A4s have longer track sets than our M4 A1´s and even our Churchill tanks have the correct number of tiny bogy wheels .

All vehicles and figures are made to a constant 1/150 scale

We consider crew figures for open topped armoured vehicles are essential, so we provide them.

Our models typically consist of five or more separate parts allowing a greater scope for detailing.

Even our most obscure national ranges are will be fully supported, we do not believe in making unfinished ranges as it disappoints our customers

Profits are not our primary motivation, who else would make Norwegian, Yugoslavian, Greek, Slovakian and free French ranges.

Whereas most companies consider an Opel blitz is sufficient to representation for German soft skin models we do not. We produce more soft skin models than any other company in any scale.

Pithead Miniatures are grateful for the collaboration of Carl Abelins software company Core Applications in the presentation of these pages.

Specializing in 10mm (1:150 scale) WWII miniatures and decals. The company currently has one of the widest ranges available in WWII, producing models for the following national armies: German, British, American, French, Italian, Belgian, Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Russian, Greek, Yugoslavian, and Norwegian. Our comprehensive coverage of soft skin vehicles and artillery is unrivalled in any scale, and we are currently expanding at the rate of 100 new models a year

  1. I’ve done business with Pithead more than once and it’s difficult not to RAVE about this company. Where to begin?

I can’t stress enough the originality of Pithead’s designs. You will find models here that you will not find elsewhere. For some of the things I’ve needed, I simply HAD to order from Pithead, as they aren’t available from anyone else. The sculpts are crisp, detailed and well-proportioned. The first thing you’ll notice at his site is the incredible range of stuff he does. Like he says above, more listings than anyone else for WWII, including more combatant factions than anyone else. However, the next thing you’ll notice is that their vehicles and guns… have CREWS! I found no empty vehicles, here! For a change, someone is designing wargaming miniatures… for WARGAMERS. Those dead, empty vehicles just look like terrain on our tables, don’t they? Well, Pithead’s vehicles are ALIVE, crewed, and ready for the field.

I can’t stress enough the variety and originality of the designs. From Pithead, I got my WWII Soviet Headquarters (no one else offered one at the time). They have Soviet tank riders, that fit on their 10mm T-34’s. I bought enough rider miniatures to outfit a company. I’m painting up a company of their T-70 light tanks, now, as well as some GAZ trucks with quad-Maxim, anti-aircraft mounts. I don’t think anyone else does those in this scale.

I could go on and on about how happy I am with the items I’ve purchased. Just check out the web site. If you’re looking for WWII in 10mm, you NEED to know about Pithead. Another of my secret weapons. 😉
