Brighton Wargames Club how to find us, Having met for many years in the centre of Brighton, we’ve relocated to a much more accessible (and cheaper) location on the edge of Brighton at Patcham Community Centre & Library.
There are a number of established periods and rulesets at the club, but we’re always open to trying something new if you have experience of a different set of rules.
Brighton Wargames Club frequently play the following periods, scales & rulesets:
- Ancients (15mm & 25mm): Field of Glory, Mortem et Gloriam
- Renaissance (15mm & 25mm): Field of Glory
- Napoleonic (6mm , 15mm, 25/28 mm): Blucher (Corps level), Sharpe Practice (skirmish level), Black Powder
- World War 2 (15mm & 28mm): Blitzkrieg Commander (battlegroup level), Flames of War (Company level), Chain of Command (skirmish level), Scramble (Air war).
Brighton Wargames Club Directions
IMPORTANT: To gain access to the club meetings – at the Centre front floor, to the right of the door there’s a green panel with two bells. Ring the one marked “1st Flr” and someone will let you in.
For those arriving by bus, you will need the 5, or 5a bus to Patcham (not Hangleton).Get off the bus at Patcham Clock Tower stop (large clock tower adjacent to bus stop). Walk back to the crossroad and turn left into Ladies mile road. Walk up Ladies mile road past Indian takeaway, cross road and walk along side railings. Turn right into the drive of the community centre/ library which also is drive to Patcham High School.
Parking
If arriving by car there are parking spaces opposite the centre, DO NOT PARK in the lower high school car park as it is locked during the night about 9pm.
