My name is Simon Miller and I have been using the BigRedBat tag since I first started posting on gaming forums around twelve years ago. I live with my wife, three grown up children and 15,000 or so 28mm miniatures in Muswell Hill in North London.
I have a passion for wargaming in general and for ancient wargaming in particular. The box of Airfix Ancient Romans that I bought in 1967 has morphed into six different huge 28mm Roman armies. I am very interested in the Greek and Hellenistic worlds and have recently started to collect a couple of Medieval armies, too, and recently a pait of large English Civil War armies. When time permits I also game in the fantasy world of Glorantha.
I am a regular blogger- my hobby blogs are the BigRedBatCave and For King and Parliament which contain a great many pictures of my collection.
There is also a lively forum for “To the Strongest!” players. It is a friendly place where beginners can ask questions about TtS! It’s a great place to post pictures of your miniatures and games. Discussions in the forum often influence the future direction of the rules.

About “To the Strongest!”

To the Strongest! is the overall brand for several (hopefully, eventually, many) sets of wargames rules. At the moment there two; an ancient/medieval set called simply “To the Strongest!” and a new English Civil War set, called “TtS! For King and Parliament.”
Battles fought using the TtS! rules can fought with model soldiers, on a dining room table and won or lost in less than two hours. The rules also support huge battles, with several thousand figures and up to five players a side.

A grid enables players to completely dispense with measurement, and so permits the game to move along at a cracking pace. Miniatures can be in any scale from 2mm to 5mmm and based for any of the common wargaming rules systems. To the Strongest! games use a unique activation system driven by either playing cards or chits. This system introduces uncertainty to a battle; in some turns a unit can move four or five times, and in others not even once. The same deck is used to resolve shooting and melee. No dice, whatsoever, need be rolled!
The rules include terrain placement and points values to support those players who wish to play competitively. Numerous army lists can downloaded, for free, from the BigRedBatShop.
TtS! Rules written in plain English, with appropriate diagrams, sample lists and many examples of play. Copiously illustrated with pictures of battles and beautifully painted miniatures. They have proved popular with veteran and novice wargamers alike!
