Wargames Association of Reading was established in 1978, we are a miniature tabletop club for wargamers in the Reading area. We meet weekly where up-to 130 members play tabletop games from Ancients to Modern and beyond. Wargames Association of Reading are an active club and arrange a variety of social events for our members. We also run Warfare, our annual wargames show, is one of the largest in the country.

We meet every Wednesday evening ( 6:00pm–11:00pm ) at the Winnersh Community Centre, New Road, Sindlesham, Near Wokingham, Berkshire. RG41 5DU. The centre has free parking, a large well lit, heated hall, and a tea bar. Occasionally we also hold games Sundays (once a month – please check out the club open days page for more info). Everyone is welcome but please note that under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

The atmosphere of our club is very friendly and new members are always welcome. We play a wide variety of games including Flames of War, ~Team Yankee, DBMM, DBA, AD&D/RPG, WRG 6th Edition, X-Wing, Bolt Action, Saga, Swordpoint AOS, Warhammer 40K, Lord of the Rings, Blood Bowl, Wings of War, Board Games etc.. In fact we will try our hand at anything and many of our members even produce their own rules. The club has its own tables, and a good selection of terrain.
