TSATF – The Sun Never Sets (1982)

The Sword and the Flame (TSATF) The Sun Never Sets 40th Anniversary Edition! First released in “The Courier” in 1982, this classic campaign system for The Sword and The Flame, continues to allow players to be both members of Parliament/Field Generals, and Native Potentates.

Now in an updated 5th Edition, with full color throughout, new covers and some internal tweaks, TSNS is more accessible than ever as the preeminent Colonial Wargames Campaign system. New rules include simple hacks allowing players to side-step a full blown Parliamentary game and conduct campaigns in the colonies/theaters of their choice.

Originally designed for use with TSATF 20th Anniversary Edition, the Battalion variant, 800 Fighting Englishmen is even better suited for play.

Along with the campaign game rules, there are 30 pages of background, tactical and organizational information on the new foes, including Abyssinians, Afghans (Irregular and Regular), Ashanti, Burmese, Chinese, Maori, and Northeast Frontier Tribesmen, plus more Imperial Troop types, rules for Gunboats, Logistics, Replacements, Fortifications, Transport, and more!

The TSNS Graphic Supplement, which includes five full color Theater Maps measuring 8.5″ x 11″, one two-piece map totaling 22″ x 17″, and three 11″ x 17″, plus 5 full color card stock sheets of Event Cards (double sided), 4 sheets of ready-to-cut map counters, Sea Distances Table, and more. is no longer offered in print form. Instead, as a price cutting measure, it is now being offered as a set of PDF’s for self printing. Alternatively, all components, or just the larger maps, may be reproduced by your favorite local print shop for less money than we would have to charge to offer for separate sale.. This full color collection may be bought for only $5.00, below, and sent free via E-mail.

However, when buying the Print Edition of the rules from TVAG, it will be included in the price and sent along as above.

The same Graphic Supplement is also offered in B&W format entirely for FREE upon E-mail request, and will come automatically with the PDF Edition of the rule book itself.

TSNS is–and remains–the last word in a complete Colonial Campaign System!
