Lair of Sword & Sorcery (2016)

High Adventure Sword and Sorcery Roleplaying Awaits!

Go back to a time when roleplaying was a do-it-yourself venture. What if you pieced together ideas from various board games, movies, toys, and cartoons? What if all of these combined elements were your concept of fantasy roleplaying? What if there were very few official materials to use, so you created mostly your own adventures, cultures, and monsters? What if a lot of the fun was creating your own game board on which to play, and then adding miniatures or toy figures? Welcome to Lair of Sword & Sorcery! Metal, Steel, Gold, and Iron meets Mystery, Doom, and High Adventure.

Will your hero master the arts of the fighter or the mysterious and deadly skills of the sorcerer? Combat is quick, fun, and full of excitement — the rest of the game is built just the same. Lair of Sword & Sorcery is meant to played, not learned or studied. Creating your own characters takes no time. Creating new monsters and villains is also a snap. The included sample adventure puts you right into the action!

Lair of Sword & Sorcery is based on certain concepts that may be different from the more typical fantasy games:
Magic is rare and dangerous
Combat is deadly
Heroes are truly heroic
Gold is valuable; equipment and supplies are expensive
Iron is more rare and valuable than gold
The land is primarily without law, but not consequences
This is a Special Reprint PDF of the second edition Core Rules book, originally published by Spooky Room Productions. It has been slightly edited and expanded to include setting material from its original magazine-style books and new rules from issue 6. While these magazine issues are no longer available, most of their content is now included in this book.
