Welcome to the world of Spencer Smith Miniatures. We have been around since the early sixties, initially cast in plastic, all our figures are now in metal. (high lead content, please note, to keep prices low). Our figures feature in many of the early books and articles on wargaming, particularly by:

We have greatly increased the old ranges, but keeping to a simplistic style as they appeared in the old plastic days.

The ‘connoisseur’ figures in the AWI range designed by Barry Minot. For those new to Spencer Smith figures. Please bear in mind that our figures are stylistic, with little detail, but exactly proportioned and easy to paint.
Holger Eriksson range
We also sell the Holger Eriksson range produced by Tradition of London in Sweden. Orders dispatched direct from Sweden to customers and should arrive within 7-14 days from date of ordering. We no longer supply the 30mm Willie and Tradition figures which can purchased direct from Tradition of London.
Shiny Toy Soldiers
We also stock the excellent range of 42mm Shiny Toy Soldiers, sculpted by Aly Morrison. Famous for his work with Games Workshop and Great War Miniatures. These marvellous, multi-part figures, packed with nostalgia, and reminiscent of the figures used by H G Wells. And others in the very early days of wargaming, when a Persian rug, piled books and children’s’ wooden scenery would have been the norm for gaming scenery. En masse, they look wonderful individually, they are elegant and full of movement and life.

Lastly we are developing a range of 42mm ACW figures compatible with our Shiny Toy Soldiers/Little Britons figures but combining the detail and realism of our ‘Classic’ figures.
SSM Ranges Sold
I am pleased to say however that SSM has been sold to Don Hauser of Wee Wolf Miniatures in Maine, USA. Don will already be known to many of you. And he intends to continue producing these iconic figures in the new year.

The basic 42mm shiny toy soldier ranges (early 19th century) are being withdrawn from service. But I will continue to produce the little Britons (later 19th century), the Pathans, Sikhs and Boers. And an announcement will follow in the new year once we have moved house and I have a new ‘man shed’.
