Repique Wargames, located in Denver Colorado, solely owned business of Bob Jones. Mr. Jones has written a number of wargame rules starting in 1972 with Le Jeu de la Guerre (La Guerre) and including all of the Piquet series, Zouave, Die Fighting, and the Current Multimedia Die Fighting II Rules.

He has also written extensively on wargame design, military history and technology for The Courier, Wargames Newsletter, MWAN and on-line, contributing over a hundred articles on a wide variety of subjects over the years.

Mr. Jones has retired from a career in television production and network management, as well as having been the President of The National Association of Television Program Executives.

He has traveled extensively throughout the world, and had the good fortune to visit battlefields in the United Kingdom, France, the Lowlands, Germany, Mexico, as well as the United States.

Die Fighting II

Zouave II: Warfare in the Age of Transition-1861-71

The first rules offering by Repique Rules in 2010 was Zouave, a corps level wargame covering the American Civil War 1861-1865, The Maximilian Adventure in Mexico 1862-1867, The Austro-Prussian War of 1866, and the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871. It completely sold out its initial printing in six months.

Zouave II is an extensive update of the original incorporating the new Command Rondel tool. Zouave II captures the high level command capabilities and decisions of all armies of this period, but does not slight the elements of tactical combat, or the pure fun of playing the game.

Requires only commonly available gaming tools. A deck of cards and some multi-sided dice, and plays quickly enough that a 2-3 corps game of 6-8 divisions. Over two dozen regiments or over seventy battalions, and more than twenty batteries a side may be played in less than 4 hours. A typical 8 foot by 4 foot table will serve as a miniature battlefield for 1500 figures or more!
