Hello, Wargame Directory forum users users! I am Aotrs Commander (or Bleakbane), the owner of Aotrs Shipyards.

This thread will compile the Shipyard’s scifi releases, linking the posts here in this thread for conveniance of centralised location.

For those of you unfamiliar, I produce 144th sci-fi (10 or 12mm depending on who you talk to) and starships as well as 144th scale modern armour. (I also take commission work). The models are available as FDM prints directly from me (contact me via Facebook) or from my webshops at TheShop3D and Shapeways.

I release scifi models once a month. I don’t always have a release ready every month (inlike the moderns), but when I do, I tend to release them in batches of four or five models.

The sci-fi releases always come with some (entirely optional!) attached lore, which I hope is of interest. (This can be blamed almost entirely on Stewart Cowley and Spacecraft 2000-2100AD which was been arguabky the single biggest media influence of anything on me ecver!) This will always be presented at the top, with the actual model (and links) and the end of each article.

This thread will concentrate on listing the models released on each release post (as well being a central place to look for the release threads).

I will be starting shortly to run a tandem thread, which be will focussed just on the lore, in the format that the Guide to the Army Of The Red Spear posts have been going up in. At this stage, while I will link the releases posts in there as well for comleteness, that thread will be concentrating on the lore over the models (so for the lore-only posts, there will not be any links or photos of the models).

This is partly because I am still in the process of reprinting and updating each and every single one of my models of the past ten years for my direct-sales catalogue and also getting all my ranges up on The Shop3D; and partly because it will cover some topics and powers for which I don’t (currently) have any Aotrs Shipyards models for – and thus no “official” models, because I have over the past twenty years, veritably plunder starshuip maunfacturers!

In former case, when the ranges are ready for re-release, it will be noted in this thread with a seperate post with model photos and links.

(This was something I was going to do on Facebook and/or as I re-released the updated models as I completed the direct sales catalogue and released the updated models on TheShop3D; but the former is not an option now that Facebook posts can’t be sensibly formated in the death of notes; and the latter needs to be moved up the time scale as people are starting to ask about the fluff and saying “it’ll be up in a tear or two” is not a good answer!

You can find my most complete back-catalogue of models at the Shapeways store, or by joining the Aotrs Shipyards Task Group on Facebook (which was, annoyingly, the only way FB would let me upload a file of sufficient size and update it for everyone to be able to look at). As of time of writing, the direct sales back catalogue is not completed yet, but will slowly be filled out in time. The catalogue contains a complete list, but not all the direct-sales prices or photos, since it requires re-printing (and updating) each and every model I’ve done from the past ten years (I have only just got the moderns side done in that regard!) If anyone interested in something not currently priced up please do contact me and I can fast track that to be sorted.

Likewise, the selection of models at TheShop3D is not yet complete; this is being filled in as I complete the updates and we get them up in the store.
Again, anyone interested in having any of my models done there – in their really nice and very affordable resin, for instance – which are NOT up yet, please contant me and I can try to get that sorted as soon as reasonably possible.
