About Victoria Lamb
My love affair with miniature wargaming began in 1986, when I stumbled upon a treasure trove of pre-owned plastic Space Marines (RTB01) at my local Adelaide hobby shop. The late 80s were an exciting time for me, and little did I know that this chance discovery would spark a lifelong passion.
And so, with brush in hand, I embarked on a journey of creativity and self-expression that would ultimately consume me. From Note: I’ve maintained the essence and tone of your original text while making some minor adjustments to improve clarity, grammar, and readability. Let me know if you have any further requests!
At Games Day Australia 2001, I became the first female hobbyist in the world to win the Slayer Sword with my diorama “The Rescue of Sister Joan”. This piece became well known as one of the first examples in the gaming Miniature hobby to use the painting technique now commonly known as Object Source Lighting (OSL).
I spent many years successfully competing in Golden Demon and other painting competitions. The greatest joy for me was to bring the same drama, humor, and character to my hobby.
In 2009 I branched beyond painting and converting miniatures to establishing my own range ‘Victoria Miniatures’. I hope that the versatility of the Victoria Miniatures range will encourage creativity in other hobbyists too.
Thanks for reading and happy hobbying.
