Javis Manufacturing Ltd

Javis Manufacturing Ltd started in 1950 by Jim and Avis Bridge in a small shop in Stockport. Jim Bridge responded to an advert in the Exchange & Mart of a company who were making a range of small Balsa Aircaft and were looking for a distributor. In his efforts to sell the range ,he began to get asked for other products associated with the Model Trade. Hence Javis began to progress.

The company rapidly expanded from two storeys of the shop to purchasing all four floors. The premised served them well for a number of years until moving to a Mill in Stockport in 1973 taking two floors. They remained in these premises until 2005 when the company purchased a freehold single storey building in Reddish approx 3 miles from the old site.

In 1973

In 1973 Javis began to develop a competitively priced range of Scenics. To this still generally accepted as the leading brand in their field. The range expanded over recent years into the wargaming markets and prove popular with all age groups.

Paul Bridge joined the company in 1971 becoming a Director in 1975 and is now Managing Director.

Javis Manufacturing Ltd has retained a strong following and a loyal band of customers through the years and has endeavoured to service their trade customers in a quick and hopefully efficient manner.
